Is RGM going to GEM?

If GEM doesn't drop Carpentier, think GEM will finish buying out Rob Gordon and put Sorensen in the 7?

I don't know about GEM buying it, but I say there will be no RGM next year. That team is pathetic and no sponsor is going to keep dishing out money for a team that runs like them. That would be stupid cause you get no value from it.
His personal life sucked the life out of him and now his team is falling apart. Its really a sad.

Bummer about Carpentier. I think that Rob Gordon may survive to live another year. Captain Thunder says he is the Nascar/world's greatest salesman.

All the teams are falling apart because of the craziness of the new car. Ganassi will die before he does. Only Carl Edward's and Kyle Busch's teams have been consistantly successful, with JJ's team pulling a rabbit's foot from time to time.

Well, Rob's been pushing his team as an advertising medium instead of a pure race team. How's the off-road team holding up? Anyone know?

Well see. How many black cars has he has this year? Several and several upcoming races are not sold either. Yes, Ganassi is in trouble but so is RGM. Just wait and see. He's 35th in points and I'll be surprised if he is in the top 35 after this weekend. The way that team is running it can't even get out of the way. And remember how horrible of a qualifier he is, once out, he will start to miss races.

I guess you didn't know he was gettin sued! That should be the end of him. With his personal problems, two major lawsuits to distract him as well, that team is finished. What kind of motor do you think he will get this weekend from GEM? I say not much of one. Ray got sick of being bashed and can't say I blame him

yeah your right it is probably is the end which is sad proving once again small team cant make it today. As far as ray getting bashed Come on its nascar everbody bashes everyone every week . I love how you Nascar fans hate drivers who whine and bash on other drivers or owners etc. If thats the case then how can you be a fan!!! They all bash each other and whine about everything. The sport is a Joke now and so are the majority of there Fans

A small team can make it if they can stay focused and on top of things. People forget about Yates, Bill Davis, and the Wood Brothers.

Robby got greedy and focused on the money and the fame and the girls. You have to be disciplined in the deepest way to run any kind of business.

I think he tried to scam GEM which is why he refused to acknowledge his issues. Image is everything in sports and if Robby had focused and cared about being a great driver instead of talking about it all the time and collecting the checks, he wouldn't be in this mess.

He lied to a lot of his fans on the Uprising regarding the sale of his team, saying that there were changes in store, not that he had sold the team to GEM.

And GEM also continued the lie (if you noticed in the article) and agreed to announce a technical partnership.

If anything, I think that GEM is looking for a way to dump Robby (because he is a pain in the ass and a damn con artist) and get the fourth car, probably for Carpentier, because Gillette does want a Canadian driver in his stable for the Canadian market.

Quite, the dramarama about Mr. Gordon.

Also Ray Evernham is not with the team in any kind of decision making capability. Mark McArdle oversees all the teams.

If Rob was talking to anyone about merging, it could have been with Ray because rumor had it that Ray was looking to get back into Nascar and he and Robby have been buddies for a very long time. Gillette is looking to keep Ray out of Nascar, in any capability. Probably, because he needs the Evernham name to give him credibility in an American sport.

Also, rumor had it that Rob talked to Michael Waltrip to head over to Toyota. Hmmm. Probably why he was crying for $30m was it last month? Or July. Probably knew then the shit was hitting the fan.

But the charges are pretty flimsy and it depends on the judge who reviews the files. Everybody knows Robby is outspoken and pretty bitchy when he gets out of the car. The team discussions are the tricky part, because Dodge has some pretty poor showing on all the cars and GEM hasn't been successful with Petty Enterprises either and most of their teams on a consistant basis.

Robby is a drama queen. He brings most of these things on himself. You don't trash the hand that feeds you publicly but then scold anyone who speaks of your personal life. Rob did get get greedy and my understanding is GEM is fed up with him and want to get their investment back which they should get if what I hear is correct.

Well, it has been said many many times over the years that this is the kind of person Robby is. He is a super bitch. I would argue that GEM knew this going into the contract which is why they had the clause in there, so they could still get the shop and the car, but not the bitch. And they waited for Rob to screw up.

But Ray Evernham was recently on Sirius radio and said that the engine program is behind schedule and it putting out crap anyway. So GEM promised both Robby Gordon Motorsports and Petty Enterprises good engines. That is probably GEM breech of contract, promising services and not delivering.

Speaking of biting the hand that feeds you, many drivers whine especially right after getting out of the car, like Hamlin did a couple weeks ago. It's just that Rob doesn't have the talent to back up the whine.

#14 Sep 5, 2008
They promised him the best engines they could produce, if that is all they can produce then that is all they can do.
Rob did alot of things to violate that agreement, alot more than they did. But time will tell what happens, probably depends on how stict the judge is.

ESPN announced that the merger went through.

It just all the dramarama that surrounds mr. gordon.

Counting the four years until he's out.
