Maybe I am missing something here, but I thought that winning races and championship was the name of the game in the racing world. Even jr stated when he moved over to HMS that he was going to win races and win championships. How much longer is JJ nad JG going to put up with the blown engines and faulty equipment so jr can ride around the track and not win??? Right now jr HAS THE BEST THAT HMS HAS TO OFFER, and no wins!!! Sure jr he running good, he should be, he has the top equipment from the top team in NASCAR......Hey jr, prove it on the track and stop runnin' your mouth, idiot!!!

Only an idiot or a TV talking head carries win stats over seasons. Every year is a new one. Look at where the 24 and 99 are this year. Should last year's stats be brought into this year to help them?
This whole winless streak is manufactured BS. Wins are important obviously and every racer wants to win in every race. But a team that is running as good as the 88 shouldn't be labeled losers because they haven't yet sealed the deal this early in the season.
Jr's not my driver, but I'd like to see him win just to shut up the know-nothing posters who criticize him, but would sell their mothers into slavery to BE him. It's sad to see grown men act like jealous little pusses because of another person's popularity and success. If that's what you want to do, try aiming your anger at someone who deserves it, say Barack Obama.

Sure he knows, that's all anybody talks about. That doesn't make it right. Knowing is one thing; flapping your mouth about it is another.

You are missing something. By any definition, he's a contender for the championship and running well enough to compete for wins at this point in the season. What's ahead, who knows, but anybody with a real perspective can see the difference in how he's running, his attitude, and the way he gets along with his crew chief and team. Seasons past mean nothing and real race fans know it - it's what you're doing now that counts. If you think for one minute that JJ and JG would sit by and let the 88 get better equipment, I think you should look in the mirror before calling Jr an idiot.

I've been watching how he's become the most consistent driver in Cup. Remember how he would fade as the race went on? Remember his hangdog attitude and fights with his crew chief(s)? Remember all the bad luck and misplaced aggression? Do you see that this year?

Not only is he finishing races and taking care of his car, he's finishing like he's running - 6 straight top 10s. That's a stat most drivers would take in a heartbeat. Wins will come when you run upfront every week. He hasn't done that in the last 4 years, so what's the point of comparing apples with oranges?

Okay, he's got a huge, enthusiastic fan base. What's that to you? They don't think he's a "saviour." To many, he's their link to Big E. So what?
He seems like a nice guy, not like a Busch bro, so why the hostility? If you were him, what would you do different?

He doesn't have to fly around the country constantly and sit in a hot car for most of the weekend and put up with all the crap he has to. He could do anything he wants. He may not be his father, but he's a RACER. It's in his blood. He's won a fair number of races, he's been in a long slump. How many other drivers have gone through exactly the same thing? Now he has his mojo back - give him a freakin' break and at least recognize the improvement in the driver and team.

Apparently, you were smoking dope when you should have been paying attention in math class. Check the point standings, dufus. If the championship were based only on wins, a driver could win 5 races and take the rest of the season off. If you think it's only wins after 10 races into the season that count, you should stick to watching go kart racing.

I don't have to look in the mirror, jr IS AN IDIOT, 139 races and counting proves it. Over and over jr keeps flapping his jaws about how great he is, how is ready to win, how he is the best driver at HMS and NASCAR still promotes him more than all other drivers combined and all the while, not a winner for 4 years, no other driver comes close to that amount of coverage. Just keep listening and believing what "the idiot" keeps saying, and you will be fine. I suggest in between the "jr coverage" during the race, count the empty seats, I wonder what percentage of those vacant seats are due to "just plain tired of the jr sh$$" Enjoy the races, I prefer hockey, you don't see empty seats in the arenas 'cause the NHL doesn't have to stoop so low as to promote a winless idiot.

Sure, put any joker in a good car with a good crew chief and he can drive like Jr has this year. I guess only the two guys ahead of him are real racers; the 40 below him are all losers. Gordon's got no problem with Gustafson - he's just been snakebit with bad luck this season. It happens. But why not blame it on Jr.? Or George W.Bush. I'm sure it's one or the other.

<quoted text>Exactly, you cannot compare all other drivers to Joonyer because they are light years ahead of him in terms of talent. Brad K. and Joey L. are better drivers than Joonyer. Yes Joey is such a good driver I look for him to lose his ride soon. Hearing Gibbs is already talking to someone else.Where is he in points at the present time??? I agree with you Brad is a great driver.....

Isn't it amazing how every other driver in NASCAR, except jr, is in danger of losing their ride if they don't win. ALL HAIL JR!!! He is the greatest driver of all time!!
