Dale Jr did a marvelous job at Talladega driving through the wrecks and taking care of his car. He did not have a car that could win. He had a good car not a great car according to Steve. You trolls just need to get a life and leave Dale Jr alone your jealously is showing.

Since all the cars are equal at Talladega, everyone has the car to win, but not everyone has the skill. You are right in saying that Jr needs to have a car to win at dega, a car with a 1/4" bigger restrictor plate than every one else, like he had in 2002-2004.

It's totally unfair to every other driver in cup to be compared to jr!!! Never in the history of cup racing has one driver been promoted like jr, and NASCAR is reaping the benefits, or should I say "not" reaping the benefits....the constant "jr in the forefront" is a contributing factor in the drop in popularity of NASCAR, it is what it is.

Exactly, you cannot compare all other drivers to Joonyer because they are light years ahead of him in terms of talent. Brad K. and Joey L. are better drivers than Joonyer. Joonyer isn't a "has-been", he's a "never-was" and a "never-will-be". At the end of his driving career he will be a fleeting memory dismissed with a yawn.

Junior does this every year. He drives well for the first 8 or so races. Then the summer slump comes. Been that way since his rookie year.

Only an idiot or a TV talking head carries win stats over seasons. Every year is a new one. Look at where the 24 and 99 are this year. Should last year's stats be brought into this year to help them?

This whole winless streak is manufactured BS. Wins are important obviously and every racer wants to win in every race. But a team that is running as good as the 88 shouldn't be labeled losers because they haven't yet sealed the deal this early in the season.

Jr's not my driver, but I'd like to see him win just to shut up the know-nothing posters who criticize him, but would sell their mothers into slavery to BE him. It's sad to see grown men act like jealous little pusses because of another person's popularity and success. If that's what you want to do, try aiming your anger at someone who deserves it, say Barack Obama.

great post...i just can't figure out why people that "hate" jr so much want to get on a jr forum...go figure!! I sure as heck don't go looking on other drivers forums unless...i actually like the driver. Been a loyal fan of Jr since he was in Busch series...yes...because Sr was my favorite driver...Even though Jr hasn't won a race in a while...I still hope he wins every weekend. Heck I even still pull for them "Cowboys" even though they are not the team they once were! Good luck Jr! Oh and by the way...every time I read something about how "bad a driver jr is" it just makes me go vote for him to either be in the all star race or most popular driver vote...so thanks to all the haters for inspiring me to help keep Jr...most popular driver for another year.
