I don't remember when Derrick Cope won the Daytona 500 but I imagine they were saying the same thing about him.

I understand it better now, but I still don't like it the point scoring system. I think once drivers have run a full cup schedule then they shouldn't be able to run for a truck or nationwide title. I think that all that run a cup race should earn points for it and the truck and nationwide serieses should be speciffically for developing new talent.

so, you think that all the drivers who drive all 3 should not be able to say they will go for the Truck championship or the nationwide championship? I think it is good that they have to decide/get to decide.. only one guy can win the championship and you want quality racing in all 3 series...so I think it is good to allow the cup drivers to say "I am going for the nationwide championship, or the truck championship."

LOL... the funny thing is that almost NEVER does a guy who has led a single lap win that race.. it is maddening.. it is a GOOD race,, but it is a crap shoot, just like Tony says.

The points system is ok but I don't like how nascar has made the drivers pick what division they want to earn points for a championship.

You sure picked a good name for yourself NUCKLEHEAD!!! The cup series is the top series. Once you've made it there why would you go for the minor series championship?
