Well the up held the second appeal. Wish Bowyer could get the points back. Still a card carrying memeber of the "ANYONE BUT JIMMIE CLUB"

This whole thing bugs the hell out of me. Here's the reason:

Lets say someone is murdered, and they arrest you for the deed. You keep yelling that you're innocent, but you're still held for trial. You have people who will testify that you aren't the murderer, but you are told you have to present that info in court. BUT, when you get to court, you find that the prosecuting attorney is a relative of the dead person and every member of the jury is either a friend or relative of the dead person. Do you think you'd get a fair trail, despite what proof you have to the contrary? NO!!!!!

And that's what is wrong with Nascar. Their hearing panel is appointed BY Nascar. Basically, they're employed by Nascar. So how in the hell can any driver, team, owner or crew chief expect to get a fair hearing?

What they need to do is find an impartial panel to hear all complaints. A group not appointed by or associated with Nascar. At least that way, you might have a fair hearing.

Am I correct to think they are appealing to Nascar employees?

Why not an impartial 3rd party?

The members of the appeals panel aren't Paid NASCAR employees however they are selected and invited by NASCAR to be a member of the panel. NASCAR doesn't use the same three individuals for all appeals hearing. However, when NASCAR called and asks them to sit on a hearing panel and they accept, their travel, food and lodging expenses are covered by NASCAR. Who takes them to dinner while they are in town for the panel, NASCAR. Who wheels them around while they are in town, NASCAR. Who has their ear even when the hearings isn't in session, NASCAR. Anyone thinking that since these people aren't on the NASCAR payroll that this makes it a fair and impartial process has lost touch with reality.
