I was really happy that Smoke finally won, especially at Dega. My cat Missy (she's uses the short bus) loves watching races, so she was on her stool, I was in my chair, and when Tony crossed the finish line I jumped up and started hollering and yelling, Missy started meowing and my beagle Molly started in howling. All my other cats went and hide. It was quiet noisey at my house. That has got to be one of the best races I have seen. We didn't have one big pile up, we had two. I'm glad Denny is okay. It always worries me when they take someone off to be "observed".

Nascar is nascar.... rules are rules. Inconsistant is inconsistant.... thats all i have to say.

Jr passed Matt Kenseth under the yellow line in cup four years ago and they let him keep the win.

I'm not a big Jr fan, but I thought that they ruled that he'd already passed Kenseth when he went below the line. But I agree, Nascar has always had a consistency problem when it comes to rules enforcement. I'd even concede that had it been one of the other chase drivers insteand of a rookie the call might have been different. But that's no different than in any sport. Officials are always tougher on some players than others.

Congrats to Tony and all his fans! I was glad to see that Tony can finally check Dega off his list of places yet to win.
