Mike is a car owner. If he loves to drive and is able to and the rest of MWR agrees, then who is anyone to tell him he can't drive. It's his car he can do as he pleases. He can drive if he wants for as long as he wants. No one has the right to sit back and say when it is time for him to leave the drivers seat. As long as Mike believes in himself and he has fans that believe in him I think it's great he can get in his car and run every weekend. Mike has stated many times that he loves racing.
There are alot of us that have faith in him and have hope and confidence that he can still win. If you don't like it you can stick it where the sun don't shine.
Great post! 100% agree!

I'm a newbie here, but been lurking for quite awhile. Been a MW fan for about 10 yrs now. I believe he and his teams will do alright in the Cup series, remember MWR is in it's infancy and it has to have time to grow in to a competitive organization. "Rome wasn't built overnight" If things keep going forward as they are now, watch out for MWR in 5yrs.

Just an observation: If you stop feeding the trolls, they'll go away.

NAPA may enjoy having an idiot for a spokesman,(think it's their way of saying "Hey if someone this dumb can fix their car with our parts anyone can")but I don't know how much longer Toyota will. They have a winning team in Gibb and he's got an idiot who can drive(Smoke), they rally don't need the court jester...

baahahahahaha OMG how dumb are you? Let's keep going and find out. Firstly, last year, when Toyota was JUST STARTING in Cup racing, they had to build a whole new engine, not just mod the truck engine like they planned. This lead to problems. Once again, you would see this had you done research. You cannot be so stupid as to compare this year with last. Toyota had engine problems last year. The RPMs on the straights, get it STRAIGHTS, were not as high as they should have been, although you were seriously high everytime you post something. Either way, Toyota got that problem figured out before the end of last year, so your precious Shrubbery and gang didn't have to deal with that. The REAL Toyota teams did. Chew on that dumbass.
So what's next? What can I own you on again? When are you going to wake up and realize what a moron Junior bandwagon fan you are? Typical of MOST Junior fans though. They are idiots. There's a few(like Terry) that aren't, but very few. Bet you are so damn stupid you think Michael was at fault when Junior wrecked him at Charlotte, even though Junior apologized saying it was all his fault. HAHAHAHAHAH MORON.
Hey Dumbass, when will your precious Junior win a race? We've been waiting for HOW long now? Thought he was the bestest driver in NASCAR. Come on now. When will he win? He's just a damn LOSER like you. HAHAHAH He won't win shit.
How is it that you always manage to say what I can't? Good comments regarding Junior.

Well, I actually shouldn't have said Junior's a loser. He's an ok driver. Is he championship material? No. If he was, he would have gotten one at DEI when he was being given the best there was. He might get in the chase again, but he won't win the championship.

What I said about most of the Junior fans though, that's completely true. They are idiots. There's very few(including Terry) that are sane individuals. They think Junior can do no wrong, even when he admits he's done wrong. I can't believe the morons that said the accident at Charlotte was Michael's fault even though Junior apologized and said that was on him. What makes it more funny is when Michael spun Junior at the Duels or the Shootout, can't remember which, and the fans went crazy because GOD FORBID Junior get spun or in an accident, they want the other driver's head on a stick. What I loved was when the reporters asked Junior about it, he said that he spun Michael, now Michael got him back, they're even. It didn't hurt his car, it's all good.

You have taught me well, my dear! My mom's boyfriend has been into Nascar for 20 years (Jeffie freak) and last night over the phone, he wanted me to explain why most of the Sprint hot shots were not at Mexico. I explained to him the championship for Nationwide (had to keep calling it Busch, that's ok) and he didn't understand, so I used last Homestead's race where Jeff Burton won it, but Carl still won the championship.

My mother is so ticked off at me for being able to rattle this kind of stuff off. What do you expect from a Tony freak, another hellraiser.

I'm also a Kenseth fan, but I don't like RFR or Fords. Sure wish Matt would find another ride, he certainly isn't happy with it this year.

My husband gave me a new F150 for Christmas a couple years ago and I have had nothing but problems with it, steering, brakes, ignition, you name it, I've had the problem. I even talked to the big boys at Ford. Their answer: "Don't know", "Can't help" basically saying it wasn't their problem. I know it'll be the last Ford we'll have in our driveway.......maybe a Toyota, next time.

Have a good day!

Tundra's have a lot of recall problems with bad camshafts! They are Jap-junk, just like the rides at Motormouth Motorsports.

My girlfriend sent me an old photo of Matt, autographed, when he drove a Chevy! Still had DeWalt on it. It must have been around 1998. He looks funny, little face and super blonde hair.

He usually is much better than he has been, so far. Rousch must pay him decent money, so I really don't see him going anywhere. But then, stranger things have happened since I got into this 2 years ago. New rules, new teams, new accusations...one never knows.

I am wearing a Matt Kenseth watch and my #17 gold charm around my neck today. Forgot to wear my socks! Darn...if they made Kenseth underwear, I would have them on, too!

Have a good one!

I know my IPS says different but I live in Owensboro, Ky. I've known Mike since we were in our early teens. All he has ever wanted to do is race. I just feel that now that he is in a position where he has a ride full time if he wants, then I say go for it.
It might be because I see all the rest of my boys from here not in permanent rides now and I'm just glad Mike has made a great life for himself.
Jeremy Mayfield and Jeff Green has lost their rides. Mark Green drives in the Nationwide series some and David Green works for people here and there. I know all these guys and it's sad not to see them in rides. Especially David, who deserves is most.
So, I am just happy for Mike.

Hey Wallbanger, Hows little Lauren today? I think I'm gonna get one of those laser-pointers for my little granpuppy. I can't help it, every time I think about that little kitty chasing that laser I just crack up, I guess I also picutre you sitting in a recliner waving it around and her chasing it and you just laughing and laughing. I know my 13 yr old Border Collie will just look at me like, "What the he** do you want me to do with that?" But I think the pup will love it.I'm gonna be baby sitting next weekend so we'll have a blast.
Hubby's going to pick up the motor home today. Him and the daughter's fiance' will start working on it. Hopefully we will get a chance to go to a race this year. Like I said though, the wedding comes first. July 19th, be here before we know it. Wanna chip it, we can take up a collection.
I know all of this is off subject, but after 4 day's my migrane is finally gone and I got to sleep.
Oh!, Happy Anniversary to Me! 13 years.

Hi Lynn, nice to meet another Kentuckian, I live on Herrington Lake outside of Harrodsburg. As I posted before, I been lurking for a while and I read that you were childhood friends with Michael and the Green boys. I like David too, I wish he'd find a ride. Are you friends with the Mayfields too? I read the NOL article on Jeremy, he seems like a nice guy. As for everything that is going on in Michael's life right now, I too just want him happy. Again nice to meet you.

Lauren is very tired and is sleeping on my bed. We had a big laser chasing session a little while ago and she is "spent"! I also like to put a little pile of bird-seed on the front porch and she watches the birds eat these seeds, through the storm door. This seems to stress her, about like the laser red-dot.

The RV sounds like a great vehicle for attending races, like the Brickyard or MIS!

Happy aniv. to you and your husband, btw!

Let me see if I have this straight ... the all-star non-points race is more than just bragging rights? And the one from ten plus years ago is STILL a crowning achievement? By that logic, it's STILL only 5 wins. Now before ya get angry with me - listen to the other side of my opinion. NASCAR needs drivers like Mikey - he is competent enough to race with other drivers without endangering them TOO often, his name and popularity make him desirable to keep around as well. But he is not likely to vie for a championship, and possibly not a win either, but he's a veteran driver - that counts for something!

Yes, Jeremy is a great guy. My little brother raced cars when him and the Greens raced at our local track. Kentucky Motor Speedway. I knew the Greens way long before that, I met them when I was 10 or 11, then when I was in my early teens I started racing go-karts in the same association with them. It was called the Southern Indiana Racing Association. Me and my dad both raced go-karts, then my brother later on.
