Yea, but when you read this article here, it dont sound so good for young Logano:
http://msn.foxsports.com/nascar/story/9413570...
I think that'll happen too. Here's my prediction:
Truex goes to replace Logano in the 20 car
Logano goes back to Nationwide series for 1 season
McMurray replaces Mears at RCR, JACK sponsor gone?
Mark Martin comes back for another full year in 5
Bass Pro teams up with Newman to split with Army
David Ragan shifted to Yates with the #26 number
Elliot Sadler in the Roush#6 & takes McMurray spot
Allmendinger replaces Sadler in the 19 car at RPM
Mears, if RPM continues a 4th car, gets AJ 44 car
Reutimann gets Napa sponsor and probably 55 number
Mikey Waltrip finally retires for good.
it'll be a decent silly season, not as great as i'd hope it'd be. The reason Ragan gets shifted is because one of the Roush cars has to be gone as per agreement between Roush and Nascar and Roush has to be down to four cars by next season. I even predict that Sadler keeps UPS on 6 car, and Crown Royal/Irwin Tools sponsor sent to Biffle's car, 3M sponsor goes to split with DeWalt on Matt Kenseth's car, and new sponsor has to be found for David Ragan on new Yates car next year. Also, Logano comes back to Cup in 2011 season with Farm Bureau sponsor splitting with another sponsor.

You must be crazy to think Ragan will be the one shafted. Ragan's performed better than Mcmurray

Kenseth has a multiyear contract, although i'd love to see him elsewhere, he's not goin anywhere, and that includes retirement. If McMurray is gone, which i predicted, and if Roush can get a better driver, which Sadler is a better driver than Ragan, then yea, Ragan CAN be moved, but they wont move the number 6, not to mention that UPS when Jarrett's sponsor at Yates, use to also include Sadler in some of their commercials as well, they obvously liked Sadler representing them as well.
As far as AJ, i dont care much for the guy, but since they tried to replace Sadler last off season, and he got a car outside the top 35 in this year, i could see that still playing out. David Ragan hasnt won a race, he's never made the chase, and it was said that either he or McMurray would be moved, but like i said, with my prediction of McMurray gone to RCR, and with possible better options that could fit in directly with the Roush camp, Ragan could still be in the Yates operation next season.

I can see AJ replacing Sadler, but I cant see Roush picking him up.. He's the next Kenny Wallace of nascar IMO.. (Ie: Good rep. for a sponsor, but not much behind the wheel..) Too bad JGR didnt scarf up AJ when he was available.. It didnt take a rocket scientist to see he was a wheelman once his Redbull team got their act together.. Now all Gibbs has to hope for (for their 4th car) is Truex.. And even that is a long shot..

The # 20 car is sitting 35th in points only 23 points away from dropping out of the top 35.

http://www.nascar.com/races/cup/2009/data/sta...

Scott Speed has already dropped out of the top 35.

I wonder if Red Bull & JGR will really think about a change for either one of these cars.

I don't think Speed or Logano were quite ready for the big boys. Not saying they can't drive, just saying I don't think either one were ready.

I just read today, according to website www.jayski.com , that JGR has inquired about AJ's status, and if i were him, he'd be crazy not to dump RPM for Gibbs, but only time will tell. Personally, i'd rather still have Truex over AJ, but if they go to four cars, could get both to have their four car team, and move logano back to Nationwide, and Kyle and Denny's contract expire after next season, and Logano could replace one of them, probably Denny if i had to guess.

Also, Sadler is a proven winner winning four times in Cup and makin the chase in 2004. As for Speed, i dont know about him. I think there would be some teams that wouldnt mind having him, but like Logano, they'd give him some time in Nationwide or lower series to give him some more time.

Who says they dont get a better offer elsewhere? Remember what happened with Stewart, everybody said the same thing about him last year, and where is he this year. Kyle has considered the possibility of Formula One and if Denny was offered more money by a team just as competitive, such as Hendrick, as if Mark goes full time again next year, he only has a two year contract which would expire at the same time as Denny, or if Roush offered quite a bit of money, as how he lured McMurray away from Ganassi, Denny could have better options to him that JGR. JGR isnt the best team to be with right now, Hendrick has won the past three championships, which is all that JGR has won since they've been in the sport!

You are 100% correct... But, he also said that Smoke wasn't going any place either and we all see where that statement ended up.

I like the kid and really think he has potential but I just don't think he is ready to play with the big boys yet.

I'm with you on this one. He wasn't ready for Cup and all this struggling can't be good for his confidence. I'd like to see AJ in that #20 car.

What part do you disagree with? The part where Gibbs said Smoke wasn't going anywhere or the Joey has potential but not ready for cup yet?

If Fat boy Stewart wouldn't have screwed JGR then Joey would be in Nationwide. Fat boy bite and screwed over his creator and developer. Joey is a casualty.
