I swear I almost passed out from holding my breath after all those restarts! Crazy! But he got amazing restarts every time. He was just on it today!

So proud of Kasey, Kenny, and the entire crew. They deserved this win so much. What makes it even better is that he didn't luck into it by fuel mileage or anything...he DOMINATED. And to beat Tony Stewart at that...the road course king! Kasey beat Tony for his first oval win, and he beat Tony for his first road course win. Absolutely amazing!

Great, great day to be a Kahne fan!

Congrats to all you Kasey Khane fans and congrats to all of us Smoke fans. Second place is not bad for a brand new race team. In my wildest dreams I never expected Tony to be this competitive in the first year.

Congratulations to Kasey for his win.
I must say it looked strange seeing the King in Victory Lane with a bud car and passing around the wine. I can remember when he would never let any of his cars run in the Bud shoot out at Daytona. He did not believe in having anything to do with the Beer, My oh My guess money has changed his beliefs after all.....

And it was good clean racing. And it was racing. Kasey didn't miss a beat. I was waiting for what Gordo did that one year, but nope, Kasey was just hitting his marks not worrying about it. That was a good job.

Exactly! I think Kasey felt that he could trust that Tony would race him clean so all he had to do was race.

Hi Snow how have you been. He was against beer because he promised his Mother he would not run beer on his cars. She was very religious and she really didn't approve off them racing. He is not as inocent as people think he is but as far as I know he does not drink liquor.

You race Tony clean,he'll race you clean and Kasey did that. There was no reason for Tony to get "ugly" and take him out. That was some pretty good racing.

It was actually his Grandma that he promised he would not have alcohol sponsors on his car.

He did say in an interview that he went wine tasting and they walked down a row of barrells tasting and when he turned around the floor was going up and down. The interview may be on NASCAR.com I can't remember where for sure but it started with Kasey and was part of the press conference after the race not in victory lane.

Never met Richard myself other than to get an autograph at Martinsville. I use to be a mechanic at a shop in Greensboro,NC and my former boss was pretty close with Richard. By close,I mean he could take the afternoon off and just go visit down there. Altough Richard never visited our shop while I was there,Lynda did once as did his Dad. Lee came in one day and I was tuning up a car and he came over and asked "Whatcha doin there buddy?" I said 'just a tune-up.' He look at the engine and said "Damn newfangled cars..." LOL I'll always remember that.
