Interesting. Until I read this I would have said if TS started a 3rd team it would have been BK.

Silly season is really underway now.

Lots of silly stuff going on. Red Bull may go to Chevy w/HMS cars. JGR may go to 4 cars. EGR needs a driver for the 1 even though I heard strange things about Chip taking the 42 w/Montoya to JGR to be the 4th car. I guess RCR will need a new driver or go back down to 3 if KH leaves.

It's strange, normally silly season starts earlier than this but this year it has a lot of twists with the car owners more so than the drivers.

It will be fun to watch it all play out.

I think the economy has a lot to do with it.

Harvick is little punk with an irritating "yap yap" mouth as Ricky Rudd so accurately stated. Whiney Harvick should go look for his balls in his old lady's purse! LMAO!

No, Hendrick only has the four teams. He does however sell engines to SHR.

Actually, they technically lease the chassis and engines to SHR. It's a really ingenuitive way of getting around that whole rule.

I don't really care how many teams an owner has. Frankly if you can do it, then do it.

So in a round about way he'll have seven teams if SHR picks up a third. The car that BK is driving this year is specifically for that reason, for rookies to get their footing.

They lease them? WOW! I guess that is one way of getting around the rules. lol
Thanks for the info.

Good!

Glad to see that Happy will be with Smoke. Kind of ironic in a weird kind of way.

I'm not sure how this would work with Kevin there. He's used to running his own show but it doesn't seem to bother Ryan that Tony is the boss. I do think bringing Harvick in with his truck and nationwide teams could be good....maybe we'll get to see Tony drive more nationwide and haven't seen him in a truck in a long time.

There is already a business relationship with Tony and Kevin. And, they are just as good of friends as Tony and Ryan are. I think Kevin would be a great add to SHR!!

Wonder how the Hendrick A team will take it if Stewart and Newman walk off with all the prizes at the end of the year.

It's all good for Hendrick. She he provides that stuff to Tony for his teams to use and Tony knows how to use it well. It just makes it easier for HMS to pick up business. Why do you think Red Bull Racing is looking to hook up with HMS Chassis and Engines??? I have to say, SHR probably has a lot to do with that.

I just looked it up, they buy the chassis and lease the engines. I'm going to dig a little more to find out what leasing an engine is all about.

With the current economy, Childress is between a rock and hard place. If he does release Kevin and he takes Shell with him somewhere else, finding a replacement sponsor for the 29 car is going to be hell especially with the way the car has run this year. Finding a driver worth a damn that will go into a non-performing car is going to be about as hard. Truex Jr. is going to be the cream of the crop other than Harvick of drivers out looking for a ride but I just don't see him jumping into an unsponsored car. I'm thinking Truex is on his way to JGR. I'd love to see Juan take Haveline and go to one of the major teams, he's stuck in a sh*thole right now.
