And how much of the money actually goes to charity ?

My guess is less than half, they use the other half to pay for the celebrity necessities.

Give to charity...not a chance

The Petty's give the money to charity as big of a perentage as possible. These people are very wealthy from his racing career, and do this to honor the memory of their dead son

My bet is nearly all of the money raised gets used for the Victory Junction Gang Camp

I would not think twice about where that money goes. It goes straight to the place that does the most good. Money collected along the way goes to one of the hospitals along their route. They make presentations to hospitals and visit the children. The people they ride with are fortunate people, as well. Many of the drivers (past and present) ride along. People along the way collect money and donate it. I would be hard pressed to believe Kyle and Pattie would disrespect their son by spending it foolishly. They've made the ultimate sacrifice; pry open the wallet and help.
