You go Tony Eury SR. Knew you would not be able to stay at DEI and wouldn't want you to. Let's make JR Motorsports the best ever and a tribute to all Dale Jr. has accomplished and will accomplish!!

Wow! Are the wheels falling off at DEI? Who will be next? Eury Jr. has an out on his contract if he chooses which I think he will. Truex only has one more year left on his deal and then what about the sponsors? If Bud goes with Junior which it looks like they will, look at all the millions of dollars they will lose. What sponsor is going to pour a ton of money in a org. that is going downhill?

From what I read recently, Bass Pro Shops has a deal with DEI only as long as Truex is driving for them. So should he leave, there goes yet another sponsor. First NAPA, then Bud, and soon BPS. Menards is looking elsewhere. DEI is going to have to do some scraping to get some major sponsors in.

And good for Tony Sr. I'm glad he stuck with Jr and I hope he makes JRM a winning team. Now for Tony Jr to make his announcement....I personally hope he does follow Jr. While people downplay his role in Jr's racing career, just like Jr, if he has the good equipment to work with, I think he can get the job done. And not many people can talk to Jr the way he does. I hope to see him at HMS

I think Tony Stewart is right, DEI will become a museum.

Congratulations to Tony Sr. I think it is great and wish him the best. Should be interesting to see who else follows.

I STAND CORRECTED

Commonly referred to as "Pops" around the NASCAR garage, Eury Sr. will oversee competition and technical support for all of JR Motorsports, which includes a full-time NASCAR Busch Series program, a USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series entry and three late model teams. Having started the year as crew chief for Paul Menard at Dale Earnhardt Inc., Eury Sr. will start at JR Motorsports immediately

Yea Nascar just talked about on their web site. Life at DEI must not be a bed of roses. Wonder how Mrs E is taking all of this? I read somwhere that Bud wants to stay with Jr. it came from some VP and Bud. You know that there not going to go with just any driver.

“Whoo hoo! He did it!”

Any notice that DEI has not made any statements about Tony Sr. departure? You thinks they would have said something about it. Guess it wasn't a amicable parting.

Theresa is probably freaking out as her house of cards crumbles around her.

I don't understand the fact that all seems to be falling apart at DEI but now all of the sudden their cars are competing quite well. Junior and Truex did well today so why couldn't they do that before and maybe all this wouldn't have happened. What a shame!

Isn't it funny how everyone is so against DEI now? I guess you are all a fickle bunch and follow Dale Jr. even though his dad's company is about to be history. Where are the people deriding Jr. for bringing this clloapse about?

I have not turned against DEI, I will still root for Truex, Jr. I can do that and still hate Theresa for letting Jr get out the door. Theresa's inability to work with Jr will be TEI's downfall.

If DEI comes to an end the only one to blame is Teresa! She could have tried to come to some agreement with her step kids. As Jr said they were never even close to an agreement. You can't be an absentee owner who controls the purse strings and not be involed in the day to day management of your company, especially when you call yourself president and CEO as she did before she hired Max.
