I think Teresa called Jr out. Are you with DEI or you going your own way? Are you going to fulfill your fathers dream or not? If your with DEI, you need to make personal changes because your father would not tolerate this. Some of this is parenting, she giving some tough love. This is more than just working for DEI, she is not going to fire him, after this is going to be his someday. This is I'm not happy with some of your choices and the way your living your life. It's Dale Sr company and it will be run his way as long as I'm here. If your with DEI you need to be 110% focused on driving and committed to this company not all those side projects. Be honest Jr's popularity is based on his party bad boy image, the playboy models he dates, the fact he wont settle down and his father, it's not based on his driving talent. The bottom line until Jr wins a championship he will never be respected as a driver. People will always feel he lived off his fathers coat tails. He has talent but he doesn't have the focus and the real desire yet. He says he does but he still complains about how devoted your life has to be to winning. A real champion gives his all 24/7 there is never time off. No time for music videos and partying in Vegas and jetting off to Europe. Not until they made it. Their heart, soul and passion is racing and only racing. Dale Earnhardt saw all this in Jeff Gordan years ago. I'm still waiting for Jr to feel it, but I see it Tony Stewart & Matt Kenseth. Their tasting it, its their time not Jrs yet. Could Jr leave, sure. Would he be picked up by another owner, sure. Would it hurt DEI, yep. Is Jr irreplaceable, no. No one is irreplaceable and there is always someone who will come along and be better than you. Will he have let his father down, will he have to live with that? Yep. However, Teresa does need to see that times have changed and Dale was old fashioned and maybe some compromise wouldnt be a bad thing. I guess the ball is in Jr's court. Will he do it his fathers way or not? He's pretty stubborn too.
yes but things are not the same now as when Sr was racing...give the kid give a break..let Thersea teach hime some of the ropes.....I hope they can work together and be the sucess that Dale senior would have wanted....been there but failed

hope they make it

But its too bad that she is looking out for Theresa and don't give a shiite about Dale Junior
You get the jist I am sure..........

Been in the same spot and am very sorry for Junior.

She will never be well liked in the NASCAR community

I think Jr. should leave DEI and go to RCR. He will be alot better off actually having decent teammates and quality cars. Go to RCR drive the three and they'll be printing money. Merchandise sales would be unbelievable and he'd win a few championships pretty quick as well since he could concentrate soley on racing.

You seem to be missing a major point... Theresa has admitted that Dale Sr made 1 request before he passed away. If he was to die, then the DEI was supposed to go to his CHILDREN...not Theresa. Plus Theresa has no idea how much she would lose out if Jr walked...DEI would collapse. Dale is wanting what was already promised to him...to carry on Sr's foundation. Theresa is playing tug of war with this whole DEI issue. You may want to go back and double check your information on this matter because Dale Jr and the other kids were supposed to inherit DEI and Theresa is going against Dale Sr's wishes. Regardless...Dale Jr has the right to take DEI.

I have been a Earnhardt fan since I was 7 years old being at the track with my father and the Earnhardts. Ralph Earnhardt helped my family with race parts that we could not afford and still was competitive against us. I feel Ralph and Dale,Sr, both would tell Dale,jr to be his own person. I have spoken to Dale,Sr. about Dale,Jr's career when he raced at Myrtle Beach. He told me he would help him once he learned to make his own way and learn what racing was all about. At that time I disagreed, but now I realize just exactly what he meant. Now Jr. has learned and being his own man, just what his dad wanted. If you are a Jr. fan, it doesn't matter who he drives for or who his team mate is. If you are a true Dale Earnhardt,Jr. fan, you will be one for life. If not, you are a fake.

well he left DEI and that had to be heartbreaking, and more for him than Teresa.
She did what she had to for business purposes and some feel she was right, but where is the compassion? Its over and done with, I just wish Dale Jr the best.
