I don't think that is a question of if he will race, as it is what Teresa wants to do. I believe that Jr. has shown that he wants to race and win.
When RCR lost Earnhart Sr., they had to rebuild and it took some time. Is Teresa able to do this to?
I can.t blame Jr. for wanting other interests, that"s just being a business man. I miss Sr. as much as anyone, but you must move one, it is a different world now. I hope she realizes that Jr. is really DEI and she would be in a world of hurt if he walked away. She has to make the decsion to rebuild with Jr, and the others now. I sure hope she works it out for everyone concerned.

SHe has too much pride....
Didn't let him have the rights to his name till last year....
Didn't let Jr's mother ride on the DEI jet when he was recovering from burns - RCR stepped up & gave him a jet to use.
My predection is that he will win the cup fo 07.....then walk.
He has allot of insentive....& it would look good on her....she is too much a control freak
Unfortunately, without Jr & Bud....the DEI stable will be out to pasture

Teresa started this company with Dale Earnhardt. He acknowledge she was the brains behind this Co. As he himself said, he owed the bank money before he met her and the bank owed him after he met her.
She is running DEI as Dale Earnhardt wished and as he envisioned. DEI is Dale Earnhardt's Co, not Jr's yet. A company based on his blood and sweat, his values, his morals and his views done out of love and concern for his children and future generations of Earnhardt's not just JR. This is his gift to provide for them.
Teresa owns the rights to the name Dale Earnhardt, not her fault Jr shares the same name as his father. Her concern was how Jr would use this name. No secret father and son are very different, something Jr may endorse may not be something Dale Earnhardt would. She was/is protecting her husbands good name. Jr and Sr values are much different then each other. It is her job as a CEO of DEI to do what is best for the company not the individual.
No one knows the real story behind Teresa and Brenda. Dale Jr himself said he saw very little of his mother his whole life until his sister had a baby which was not long after his dad died.

As you can tell I'm a huge long time fan of Dale Earnhardt's. I have followed the careers of all his kids, as have most Dale Earnhardt fans. Understand that Dale Eranhardt was a very different man then his son. He made no secret of his disapproval on Dale Jr lifestyle as well as how he spent his money. Dale Jr himself has acknowledged this. Dale Earnhardt said Jr was more interested in being a celebrity than a race car driver and that he was lazy and didn't like to get his hands dirty. Jr was in the busch series than, I chalked it off to age and imaturity. I feel Jr has matured some in the last year but has a way to go before I would say he acts his age. Understand Dale Earnhardt was a hard working man his whole life, who was humble and never forgot where he came from. He was totally unimpressed with celebrities or being one. If he didnt like how Jr was living back then he wouldnt like it now either. I think Teresa said what she did to remind Jr of that. Dale Eranhradt started this company as a legacy, his hope oneday Jr would take over. But I'm not sure Jr wants it because their views and values are very different. Teresa built this company with Dale and shares his vision, and is running it as they did together for many years. She is running DEI in the manner Dale wanted with the goals and objectives that Dale had which is very different it seems from what Jr envisions.

I AGREE WITH ALL OF YOU. TERESA SHOULD REALIZE THAT IF JR. LEAVES DEI BUDWEISER WILL GO TOO. I DON'T THINK SHE UNDERSTANDS THAT PEOPLE PAY TO WATCH JR. AHD THE BUD CAR AND NOT TO LISTEN TO HER. I THINK SHE SHOULD SIGN THE CHECKS AND STAY OUT OF THE LIMELIGHT. SR. WOULD PROBABLY ROLL OVER IF HE KNEW ALL THE PROBLEMS THEY HAVE HAD THE PAST FEW YEARS. IF HE WERE ALIVE I GUARANTEE YOU ALL THIS IN FIGHTING WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED. TOO MUCH FAMILY INVOLVED SEEMS TO BE A DEFINITE PROBLEM. TURN IT OVER TO SOMEONE WHO WILL SAY IT'S MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY.

I think Teresa called Jr out. Are you with DEI or you going your own way? Are you going to fulfill your fathers dream or not? If your with DEI, you need to make personal changes because your father would not tolerate this. Some of this is parenting, she giving some tough love. This is more than just working for DEI, she is not going to fire him, after this is going to be his someday. This is I'm not happy with some of your choices and the way your living your life. It's Dale Sr company and it will be run his way as long as I'm here. If your with DEI you need to be 110% focused on driving and committed to this company not all those side projects. Be honest Jr's popularity is based on his party bad boy image, the playboy models he dates, the fact he wont settle down and his father, it's not based on his driving talent. The bottom line until Jr wins a championship he will never be respected as a driver. People will always feel he lived off his fathers coat tails. He has talent but he doesn't have the focus and the real desire yet. He says he does but he still complains about how devoted your life has to be to winning. A real champion gives his all 24/7 there is never time off. No time for music videos and partying in Vegas and jetting off to Europe. Not until they made it. Their heart, soul and passion is racing and only racing. Dale Earnhardt saw all this in Jeff Gordan years ago. I'm still waiting for Jr to feel it, but I see it Tony Stewart & Matt Kenseth. Their tasting it, its their time not Jrs yet. Could Jr leave, sure. Would he be picked up by another owner, sure. Would it hurt DEI, yep. Is Jr irreplaceable, no. No one is irreplaceable and there is always someone who will come along and be better than you. Will he have let his father down, will he have to live with that? Yep. However, Teresa does need to see that times have changed and Dale was old fashioned and maybe some compromise wouldnt be a bad thing. I guess the ball is in Jr's court. Will he do it his fathers way or not? He's pretty stubborn too.

Dale Sr would roll over is right. But he wouldnt back down, not even to his kid. Not even if it meant losing his sponsors. I dont think it will come to that, Jr is not going to leave. Family is important to him. DEI is his future, he will never compete against it or do anything to harm his fathers legacy. I think he stop racing first.

DON'T FORGET THAT JR DOES NOT BUILD ENGINES AND DOES NOT BUILD THE CARS. THEY WERE TERRIBLE AT CERTAIN TRACKS AND EVEN HIS DAD OR RICHARD PETTY COULD NOT HAVE COMPETED IN THOSE CARS. ALSO REMEMBER THAT IT TAKES TWO TO TANGO AND JR HAS ALOT OF FAMILY TO WORK WITH. IT CAN BE HARD FOR A FAMILT TO GET ALONG AT ALL LET ALONE WORK WITH EVERY DAY. AS FOR HIS LIFE STYLE, HIS DAD WENT ON HUNTING AND FISHING TRIPS RELIGOUSLY AND IT DID NOT HURT HIM. DON'T PUT ALL BLAME ON JR.

Not putting all the blame on Jr. I dont agree with Teresa taking the fight public. It should be dealt with out of the press. I do think she is smart and tough and knows what she is doing. However you can not compare Dale Sr's hunting trips to partying in Vegas for two days, just days before a big race when he is in the chase. Or taping a music video in Monte Carlo during race season, or attending Vegas with all the other Nascar drivers for business and inviting a group of young freshman and sophmore college girls (5 or 6) who were there on spring break to your suite and then have those photos appear on a website. They were like 18 & 19 and he was 30, 31. Did any of the other drivers do this? possibly but if so they didn't get their photo with young girls on the internet. etc, etc, etc. Jr goes hunting and fishing too, as well as attends Redskin games. I dont think the sports are the issue Teresa has. I also do believe for his own sake Jr needs this. I believe he has talent and I believe he could be a champion and for his sake I really hope he achieves that and more someday because it is not easy living in someones shadow. However I think to do that he needs to grow up and become more responsible. I think that is what Teresa is really to make him see.

Very interestig, you say Sr said Jr is lazy and doesn't like to get his hands dirty. All the die-hard Jr fans always tell me the opposite. They say he earned his ride being a hands on hard working driver.

There you go again saying shit and twisting the truth around . The truth is That Many years ago when JR. was real young Sr Commented on how Jr. Would sleep in in the mornings. Him and Kerry wre sharing a trailer on the property and partying alot and late at night. So what! what teenager did'nt party alot and sleep it off the next day. That has absolutely nothing to do with his adult life! So, once again get your facts straight before you open your piehole!!!

Wrong, Jr is known to show up late for race related commitments wether it be testig or public appearances. Time to grow up and take your job seriously Jr.. I'll tell you one teenager who didn't do that! Jeff Gordon, he was earning his shot at a Nascar career, this is why he is a real champion and not the peoples champion. I knew you would love this!!!

Jeff Gordon was given everything, he was and still is a spoiled little whiny brat. If it doesn't go his way he cries till it does. Junior will be a true champion just like Sr. was and still is in all our hearts.

If Jr does not stay with DEI that will be the end of that company . Jr is the face of Dei not his stepmother. She needs to stop being difficult and try to enjoy all the things her husband gave to her and dont be mean to his son.

I think Jr is his on man,and he don't need to live his daddys dream,he has his own.he is not like his daddy,he is a caring person, and sure not like money hungry Teresa.I hope he does leave her high and dry, move on and make a bigger name and big bucks,
I guess he has his mind on other things than racing, that just shows he does have a life,
I guess Sr. forgot he had a faimly, before Treasa came alone.
I like Jr,let him party if he wants too.

I agree with 3 car...and most of you...but the thing is junior wont leave. family means a lot to him...besides this will be jr/kelly/kerry/taylors company one day. he will most likely make this succeed.

has he made some good choice in his personal life....probably not. most people are able to keep things secret, pics of young girls party with them dont get leaked on the internet...this is not his fault. Never said it was his fault....people see his fame and his heart and take advantage of him....i hate that about some people doing that.

its hard to believe that yes he has been taken advatage of. but the thing is airing it publicly maybe is what she had to do to get to him. junior is hard headed at times and hard to get to...even kelley has said that. he wears his fealing on his sleeves....

i do think its been sad those pics got posted but no one seems to be doing damage control and stopping them or taking care of them. telling the truth behind them either. its causing a lot of problems for his fans because no one knows what to believe at this point.

but dont compare hunting/fishing with parties in vegas...senior did that to relax for the next race.

and no i dont think he is gay...just think so of his new friends are using him....he just doesnt realize it yet.
