Just a prelude of things to come I'm sure! Let's see just how many nasty, little shortcomings there will be in the last 8 races. By the time this is over, none of them will be speaking to each other, even teammates perhaps?! Almost as entertaining to watch as hockey..........

It seems more intense this year than it has been during the others. Maybe because most of the guys in it have been on the outside looking in, so they know how it feels. Remember Tony said last year how nerve wracking it is to drive around the chasers.

That's what makes Gordon the favorite! He's use to being hated by NASCAR "fans" that don't appreciate his greatness! You'd think he would be given some slack considering his generosity before the last 10 races started!

May I ask why you come HERE to praise Jeff Gordon instead of finding a Gordon Forum to do just that?
I harbor no ill feelings against Jeff Gordon or any other drivers out there, after all Tony Stewart would never be able to showcase his talents well if he was on the track alone! But I don't understand why you waste your time with us Smoke fans.

Slowly the tide in turning in Jeff's favor with the fans. I think getting married again and have a child has changed a lot of peoples view of Jeff. Denny Hamlin is about to become the replacement target for the fans ire. He has let it get to his head and the fans and the other drivers will make him pay.

Denny Hamlin is no JEFF GORDON.....Jeff never let anything go to his head. He just happens to be the best driver in nascar. I don't see that happening for Hamlin.

Agreed! Jeff won't bitch about having 2004 taken away from a title and won't this year if he loses! That's what makes me a fan! I'll bitch about it while the Stewrat fans will make excuses why he shouldn't have won two more titles the "old fashion way"! Just like SR and Petty!
