I'll take a wild guess (*notice I said "guess"*) and say Mears will be released by the end of the year from the 07 and Truex will be the new driver for RCR...

I think Theresa is getting exactly what she wanted. She wants DEI to be a museum to Dale Sr. I think when he died she lost all interest in the racing side of it.

DEI will become her museum or shrine to Dale. She still holds the rights to his name and as long as there are Dale Sr fans, Dale Jr fans, and racing fans willing to go, see, and buy Dale Sr stuff she will make money and lots of it.

I saw an article in my nascar scene talking about recycling mediocre drivers. Needless to say his picture, Mears', was the one used for the article. I haven't read it yet, the title caught my attention.

I just know he sounds like he's under an incredible amount of stress this year, even moreso than the two years he was at HMS. Almost as if he came into this thing being told he had to produce..quickly-if he wanted to retain his ride. I like Casey alot, but in 7 years he's accomplished very little.

I never really thought about RCR signing Martin Truex (guess i'm still thinking Truex going to Stewart-Haas or JGR). But, you make a very good point.

I think Martin Truex at RCR would be a great fit.

I think Theresa is closing her eyes, clicking her heels and wishing she was back at the bargining table with Dale Jr.

Had she not become greedy then DEI would have become with Dale Jr.'s help, the company that Dale Sr. wanted it to be.

There's no place like home. There's no place like home.

Honestly I wonder if she had any business advisors that told her this was a seriously bad move and to just give Jr what he wanted to save the company....

All I have to say is that Sr. has to be rolling over in his grave after seeing what Theresa has done to DEI. She as taken the entire organization into the crapper.
Can anyone actually say you're surprised at this? It was just a matter of time after Jr left.
