Yes he is 18, but from all the hoopla that's been going on about him, they make him sound like a pro. Which he is not. As for lil Joey - he shouldnt get any special treatment no matter what. I'm pretty certain they'll try to ignore him on the track as they pass him and if he has the balls to act like he's an equal out there, they'll teach him what tough love looks like in NASCAR.

Nobody's trying to bash him, we're just not going to pretend like he's got an easy road ahead. These guys who have been in the game will do things to him in their cars that he doesn't dare try if he even knew such moves existed. I mean, what would you do if he's in your way? "Watch out, youngster, move your ass over, or I'll move you over." Period. They're not there to give him experience, their job is to pass him.

We'll see just how great he is right away when he's in a plate race. He survives that and stays in the lead draft, I'll pat him on the back and say "Damn good driving."

Nobody said we hope he fails, Red. I do hope he shines, hell - give him Kyle's 2008 season, and then he'll have earned his respect. But I'm not going do like they said Jr was supposed to get a half dozen wins and then be disappointed when he doesnt.
