Your correct it was a decision that should have been made last year1 Darian made questionable calls (yes Tony has his issues) but Tony is driving the car and writing the check! I'm sure each and every poster has questioned if Zippy was the C would that race had turned out different. From running out of tires to missing set ups a change was needed. It should have been done last year but Tony was so worried about getting yan on track he settled. I for one am glad he is not settling any more. After all Darian has an impressive resume, who does he have to thank for that?????

Darian led a great team through 3 Chases in as many years, and to a nail biting Championship - and now he needs a resume. That's the way Tony Stewart shows a debt of gratitude and appreciation?!

It would seem not to make sense to the other teams standing in line to talk to Darian either!

Crew chiefs come and crew chiefs go. Addington will only be the third crew chief that Tony has had in his entire nascar career. Hell, Jr can go through that many in a single season.

I wonder if in the end we will find out that Tony was better than a gentleman in not embarrassing Darian as he allowed him to continue to sit on the box as Matt Borland made those amazing pit calls from behind the pit wagon?
I wish to GOD that pit road did not determine who is in position to win races, but that is what Chad gave to us,, non-racing...people were mad at Tony for venturing out on his own, taking a hit in his stats to own his own team when Gibbs refused to let him into their ownership,,Tony took a big chance but he was sucessful and he should be admired and I think when it all comes down to it, with his proven success as team owner in other series and track owner, etc,,,that Tony Stewart is a perfectionist who knows exactly what he is doing... he chose to WAIT to not get into the cup series in order to be sure he was at level to compete and now that his team is a championship team, after the start up years getting him in the chase each and every time,, I have no DOUBT that Tony knows exactly what he is doing.. He CAN carry the team on his back if he needs to, but why get in that position each week?

Nothing on that yet, the most I've heard is that she will be driving the #10 car.

Oh, that's fine if you disagree. But your last sentence doesn't support the facts apparently Tony repays hard work, dedication, and awesome results with termination.
IMO, this says much more about Tony as a man, as a friend, as a boss, than it does as a driver - and it isn't complimentary. He managed to turn a once in a lifetime, history making Chase into a bittersweet punch in the gut.
Tony could have cemented his place in Nascar history with an amazing Chase and championship - now he will forever be known as the Nascar champion who fired his crew chief.
This firing maybe the most motivating thing to happen to Grubb. Because he wants to prove tony was a goober to fire him he does know his stuff.(and if Tony would have contributed rather than traipsing around with his EFChuck.)and is a winner. And he wants to win another so he can enjoy the celebration and the accomplishment they way he should have with this championship. And see how real winners celebrate a Championship that was well earned. with a Driver that appreciates him. Lord knows those two should have celebrated this so much more differently. Tony should be ashamed of his behavior.... grubb deserves better.

Do you ever think that Maybe Tony had nothing to do with this? He isnt the only Owner of the Team.
