Predicting Which Current Drivers Will Make the NASCAR Hall of Fame

One of the above drivers is a definite Hall of Famer to be, the other, maybe not.

Jeff Gordon should be in the hall of fame.

Plenty of maybe's on the list of current driver's, just don't have the numbers of the top three to guarantee a spot.

jr is the only current cup driver that is a "lock" for the HOF on the first ballot, earnfardt fans will make sure of that, and the more deserving drivers will be left out. Case in point, Ralph earnfardt is in every motor sports HOF in the universe, and doesn't have near the qualifications that the other members are required to have. Get this, in order to be in the National Dirt Late Model HOF, you have to have at least 30 years driving dirt late models, Ralphie didn't come close and was voted in 2006, 1st ballot.......what a disgrace.

and why wouldn't Jr. be a lock , he has more wins than ricky bobby , he has people that don't know crap about nascar as fans , and hes more popular than people who can drive a race car , thats a lock ....

As much as I hate them, but Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, and Jimmie Johnson should get in for sure. My number 4 pick to get in right now is Matt Kenseth because he is a sprint cup champion and two time Daytona 500 winner plus I think has a shot at at least one more championship before his career is over. My #5 pick is Terry Labonte who just runs a part time schedule now and is a two time Nascar champion.

Others that I think deserve include former champions Bobby Labonte and Dale Jarrett. Kurt Busch and Brad Keslowski have the championship working in their favor as well.

Ones with the potential include Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle, Denny Hamlin, Kasey Kahne, and Dale Jr.

Kenseth?! If that push over gets in than Nascars HOF will have to change the format on who gets in. He's the guy who Nascar changed the ol' points system to the new Chase format. His championship year he could only win 1 race. HOF? He'll get pushed aside again I'm affraid.

Keep in mind 2 years ago Carl Edwards came close to winning the championship under the chase format with only one victory but since it was a tie with Tony Stewart who won thanks to his larger number of victories...I wonder what would've happened if Edwards had won the championshiop that year with only 1 victory because Tony Stewart couldn't pull it off

I think the chase was a bad idea , should have left it alone , they should as long as they want to add things , give a point for the pole ... I think Gordon , Johnson , Stewart , Elliott and Martin as drivers ..Martin because he was one of the best drivers with the best attitude ( no whinning )
