Just once, it would be nice to have a decision in NASCAR end in black and white instead of gray and left up to interpretation.

"What is even more perplexing, and disturbing, is that Middlebrook offered no explanation in regards to his decision."

Nothing perplexing about it, the almighty Brian France gave Middlebrook his marching orders, do as France says or lose your do nothing, high paying job. I'd like to know what Hendrick has on France. Rick probably has evidence of NASCAR approved cheating going back 30 years; much of it by the Sr and Jr Earnhardt.

By the way good story by Jeremy Elliott of PennLive.com (The Patriot-News), this is the same newspaper that stayed after the Penn State pedophilia story for years. Too bad there aren't too many real journalist around NASCAR willing to investigate what goes on behind the scenes of NASCAR's sleazy operation.

I wonder how it makes the three people feel who upheld nascar's ruling on the first appeals panel. Why are they even there? I agree, good story by Elliot!

Sunday's ending just another case of how NASCAR treats certain drivers and can "control" who is who. There are a number of drivers that NASCAR would have let drive around the track dripping oil before they red flagged the race so they could secure their position. On the other hand there are a number of drivers NASCAR would have black flagged because of the oil leak or waited for them to pit or blow up and then they would have red flagged the race.

Jimmie Johnson/Chad Knaus are the New Orleans Saints of NASCAR. They have been caught cheating so many times, been told to stop so many times, and these slaps on the wrist keep occouring. NASCAR needs to come down and stop the cheating. Proper punishment would be: Chad Knaus, Banned for life. Jimmie Johnson, Chase ineligibe for 2012. Rick Hendrick Banned from running Hendrick motorsports or being involved in any way for 1 year. How many times has the 48 shown up to the track with an illegal car? Its time to put a stop to this.

Ultimately Sponsor dollars are looking for their logo to get the most TV time. The media gets hung up on the cheaters, so what do they do, give them more TV time. So I would say, if you are caught cheating, you also get a "Media timeout" where you dont get to talk to reporters and they dont show your car on TV for say, 6 races.

menards, now you are on to something. And just for the record I don't shop at Lowe's or Home Depot. I didn't before I disliked JJ and Chad because they are terrible to deal with from a supplying corporation.
