Of course Helton supports it. You don't think Middlebrook made that decision all on his own do you?

You wonder when they are going to get worried over all the empty seats. A few years ago truck races drew more fans than what were at Bristol for both races. NASCAR knows that big time drivers like gordon, JJ, Jr will have sponsors. Now they are up to getting guys that just really never made it more competitive so they can attract sponsors.

Well if he is defending it then there goes the integrity and moral compass of the "sport" which is no longer a sport it is the Jimmie and chad show . Hope they have enough fans to buy all the tickets because pretty soon they will be the only ones showing up. why race under this nonsense. I can see more sponsors cutting NASCAR loose after this and the fans have for the most part already cut NASCAR loose.there are to many respectable ways to spend your entertainment dollar.

Chad Knaus should be banned for life. Jimmie Johnson should be chase inelegible for 2012(JJ does not recieve any driver points for any race),#48 car should not recieve any owners points in 2012, keeping that car out of the top 35 every week and forcing them to Q on time. Rick Hendrick should be banned as an owner for 1 full season. The fabricators who built the illegal car at Knaus' direction should be fined significantly.

In turn, NA$CAR should institute a "whistleblower" policy where crews can inform NA$CAR ahead of time that teams are building ileagal cars and can get immunity from fines and suspensions.

Rick Hendrick, Jimmie Johnson, Chad Knaus and the rest of the 48 team are the New Orleans Saints of NA$CAR. They have been caught cheating, told to stop, and continue to cheat, and continue to get slaps on the wrist. NA$CAR needs to grow a set of balls and dole out a penalty like above. You'll never see another illegal car come through tech for a long time. The fans would give NASCAR a standing ovation.

Jimmie Johnson/Chad Knaus/Rick Hendrick are to NA$CAR as what Barry Bonds/Mark Mcguire/Steriods are to the MLB. Cheaters that ruined the sport and tainted its integrity

Never going to happen. Rick Hendrick probably has enough on France to put him in prison.

Rick Hendrick has enough friends to keep himself out of prison for his mail fraud ponzi scheme, so I wouldnt doubt what you are saying. But hey thats reality. Thats why bristol was half full, supposedly the toughest ticket on the circut.
