I haven't followed the sport very closely for about ten years, but happened to have the Bristol race on today. I was shocked at all the empty seats. There looked to be thousands of them. It looked about 60% full.

I know attendance has been down at all tracks the past several years, but am can't believe it has even affected Bristol. I had heard stories of the local hotels and others in the area price gouging pretty hard in times past. Could that now be coming back to bite them in the butt? Also, is it time for NASCAR to drop ticket prices to get more people to come?
