Hmmmm. When I watched Nascar Live tonight, Ryan said on there that he is still reviewing the different options that are in front of him. I wonder when he told this reporter that he has made a decision?

Sounds like he's not too happy with Dodge. My guess is it will be SHR unless RCR came up with an offer he couldn't refuse.

I am hoping RCR I give Tony admiration being a car owner/driver but, I think it will take alot for that team to be able to be a winning team

Did you all hear that big mouth Rusty Wallace? He said that he knows for a fact that Ryan Newman and Penske didn't part on friendly terms. Wallace said Ryan was fired. Now, Wallace admits that he never actually spoke to Roger Penske, and no one really told him that Roger fired Ryan, but he feels he knows Penske well enough to know that Penske fired Ryan. Wallace then admitted that he and Newman never got along when they were teammates, but he said that because Newman complained about the equipment from Penske, that sealed his fate and caused his own firing.

When a reporter told Newman about Wallace's comments, Ryan asked if Wallace was awake when he made them. Newman insisted that his leaving Penske was consentual, and that he wasn't fired.

Sounds like sour grapes on Rusty Wallace's part IMHO>

What was the whole deal between Ryan and Rusty not getting along? I don't remember if it was personality differences or if it was a particular thing that caused problems.

I know I read Ryan's comments about what Rusty said...apparently Ryan said that he was aware of Rusty's personalities (and he specified personalities in plural) HA! HA!

I've heard some not so good things about Steven either...

Maybe he's going to JGR? Maybe they're expanding to 4 teams next year. Ryan wants to win races, JGR would be a good move for him.

It was personality conflict. He had the same problem with the main engine builder they didn't see things the same.

I just do not understand how Steven can drive .His eyes bounce all over the place.
As far as Rusty goes .I do not remember him getting along with any of the drivers.

I undersood it to be an engineering conflict. Basically it was Penske engineers vs. Ryan (and his engineering background) as it pertains to the COT and the car's ability to get around the track. He's been pretty vocal about what he thinks is wrong with the car, engineering wise, not motor wise.

I know Ryan is the driver, but shit, if he's driving it, and understands how all that stuff goes together, wouldn't you at least listen to him?

I might be wrong. I expect to be corrected if I am.

Ryan has always been head strong about how his car is running you would think they would listen yes it was engineering conflicts too.Ryan's engine builder was my son in law's Uncle they had conflicts about the car too,and personality conflicts.Because of his Uncle ,Ryan was winning races and poles.Ryan is very smart and they should listen to him maybe going to another team is good for him but,not to Stewart's! RCR is who I am hoping he goes to

I am not quite sure if I am right about the rules but even if Ryan were to go to RCR in the 4th car, I believe that car would also be outside the top 35 which may not make him any better off. Just something to think about.

That's true but,it is a more established team.Haas hasn't ran good for awhile and it will be like a whole new deal RCR has better backing than Haas has.RCR is well known also.It is just my opinion and besides I would hate to see Ryan in such a ugly car as UPS,too dull

Rusty Wallace is an embarrassment to NASCAR and racing in general.. the day they figure THAT out and replace his commentating a$$ will be a great day... he cries because the Toyotas have too much horse power,,, I was wondering in an effort to make racing more fair in the cup series, should they tie Kyle Busch's hands together? would that make it more fair to the others? maybe he should be made to wear a blindfold?

Ryan said today, during qualifying that he's close to choosing where he's going to drive next year, not that he's already picked a team. Again, the reporter doesn't know what they're talking about!
