NASCAR update: Kyle Busch leads at the Auto Club 400 halfway point
The winner of Saturday's Nationwide Royal Purple 300 jumped back in front of Sunday's Auto Club 400 at the 200-mile halfway point in front of approximately 85,000. Pole-sitter and teammate Denny Hamlin took the lead on the 95th lap, exiting the pits after the race's third caution for debris on the track.

Great battle to the end. This is what NASCAR is about. Just hope Denny will be OK. Kyle is not my driver but he sure knows how to play the game. Exciting race from start to finish.

Have to admit the Gen 6 is producing much more exciting races. They seem to get better and better each week. Normally I can't stand Fontana but this was an awesome race.

Kyle, congratulations on the win. This is the kind of race that keeps you on the edge of your seat; like it's supposed to. It is so much fun to watch a good, skilled, intelligent driver. Hope Denny will be all right.
