Seems to me the media works extra hard trying to dig up things to write on Jr. just to keep his name mentioned and his fans happy reading about him.
If the media worked half as hard on stories about the other 45 to 48 cars entered each week there would be more news than could be written in time for the race on Sunday.
Pretty sorry when your biggest competition during the last few weeks for news is the Mayfield scandal.
I guess declining viewership isn't a big enough hint to NASCAR that all of us don't want or need to be spoon fed Jr. 52 weeks of the year.
I think I'll go buy a Kyle T-shirt now. That is, if I can find one. I hear that souvenir hauler stays sold out most of the time. Can't imagine why.

I see it two ways...I'm a Junior fan, I like reading about him so I click on links about him and read it.

I'm not a Kyle fan in the least. I feel as though he is definitely shoved down our throats constantly, trying to get us to like him. I don't like him but I don't care either.

I don't like Kyle so I don't click on any articles about him, I change the channel when stuff comes on about him. I'm not interested so anything about him either an article or something on the TV, doesn't bother me in the least. I know some people like him. I don't have a problem with that. That's their business.

The point is that if you don't like Junior, don't go out of your way to read stuff and post stupid remarks about it. The problem isn't with Junior and his high profile but with people who just don't get that it's THEIR problem if THEY keep reading stuff that bugs them and then posting dumb and hateful stuff.

Just ignore it. That's what I do and I've lived very happily in a Kyle-free zone since he's become the chosen-one by the media. Try it. It works just fine!

The media and their stories are driven by basic supply and demand. It is much like the free market, people will consume (read/buy) items that they feel are of value. It is the job of retailers and the media to supply the people with what they want - that is if they are interested in turning a profit.

If you have watched some of the interviews that Jr has done, he has BLAMED the MEDIA about all the hype on him. He is not much of a fan of the media , either. True, they do find things to write about him, but it is NOT by Jr's choice, PERIOD!!!

You don't like him, fine. That is YOUR choice.
Go post on your drivers forum and let the people who do like JR have decient discussions without having to deal with all the negative/rude comments.

You must be one of those that goes and comments negative about Kyle. I think one of the reasons Jr is heaving such a bad season is because HE wants to. My Opinion is that he thinks if he has a bad season then the media and the fans will stop expecting so much from him and then he can be a regular racer out there and have good races and bad races without it becoming a "end of the world" event.

I have NOT posted anything negative about Kyle. I could really care less about him. I don't have to be nasty and post rude comments like other people. Sorry, thats not my style. It sure looks like you have to be that way. I am on here just to talk about the driver I happen to like. You don't like it, to bad.

The problem is that you can't enjoy a NASCAR race without having Jr crammed down your throat. The guy has not been performing at a level that justifies all the time spent interviewing and talking about him. We tune in to watch drivers compete in a race and go for the win. While the announcers focus on Jr, they aren't covering the accomplishments of those who are actually competing and winning.

Have you actually WATCHED any of the races, or are you just spouting the usual hater cliches?

It's all about Kyle now! Lord, I bet DW has to change his tighty whities after each race, he's so excited. Same for Larry Mac. They're always giving us the Kyle-love lines.

Geez, I wish you haters would get some new material. Same old same old...all the time!

He's a punk win or lose. The thing about winning is that people put up with him even tho he's a punk. It's called being a front-runner. They like to rag on other fans because of him, but he's still a punk to others.

If he didn't win, no one would be putting up with his attitude, and he'd have no fans.

That's a fact of life. I bet you jumped on the bandwagon when he started to win. I'm betting you didn't give a ratzazz about him prior to it. I'm sure you'll deny it but I bet it's true.
