What in the hell does Jack Kevorkian getting out of jail have to do with NASCAR? Somebody at Topix has their head up their ass.
This story must be crossed referenced with headline topix, and NASCAR Forum topix! I fail to see what the two have in common, unless of course Dr. k is coming after some of the NASCAR officials. Does anyone really even care about this freak of nature?

The fact is the religious right and the "Right to life" freaks can't stand Dr. Kevorkian. I have news for you- he is a pioneer, and will go down in the record books as a hero. F U to all of you religious fanatics that want to impose your will on the rest of society! I'm glad he is out and can continue his work.

EXACTLY! what i wonder is with these religious people, what if it was their daughter or son begging them to end their pain! Sorry to be so truthfull here but i have cared for people that have endured months of agony that not even Morphine could lessen! To have someone change your diapers and wipe your privates! Treat the open 3inch deep bed sores that not even changing positions every 30 min to one hour could possibly prevent despite the best of care! They lose their dignity, their mobility, their belief in god for having to have this pain brought on to them! It's pure TORTURE! PLAIN AND SIMPLE TORTURE! It would break my heart knowing that i could do nothing to help them! To see what i have seen, not one religious person would think the same thing again!

Since Dr. K is not part of Nascar, I do not see why we are discussing it, for the record I have seen those who have wasted away, I do not feel it is my right to say when they draw their last breath. How do we know when there might be a cure that comes out? I feel God is the only one who should assist us into taking that last breath.

In my opinion he is a hero. We treat animals better than we do people who are dying. There is no reason why an intelligent human being should suffer with a terminal illness. They should be allowed to die with some dignity.
Yeah, yeah... I used to think that way about Kevorkian as well. Then I learned that at least 6 individuals who he "helped" to die didn't even have any illnesses. At least one person had depression... another was diagnosed with MS, but didn't have it (aspartame toxicity, maybe?).

We like to think of Kevorkian as a man with compassion. But wouldn't a compassionate human being exhaust every other possible resource before helping someone with this very final act?

Hospice is the a wonderful organization, thank you for doing what you do. Who better to describe a horrible ending of a life? Death should be a CHOICE.

You are EXACTLY right... YOU do NOT have the right to decide what breathe is someone else's LAST. But the patient or his/her proxies DO. Maybe you will have the honor of dying in prolonged excruciating pain. Or maybe GOD will invent a cure for you.
