Ban him for life. Drugs like that have no place in NASCAR - no place in a civilized world.

FAn, I would like to agree, but he is 24, the kid is still young, I say punich him hard, but not a life time ban yet, ban him for 2 years, that should help him have time to decide if this is what he really wants to do! I am not supporting him, but I dont think a Lifetime ban is in call for as of yet, but if it ever happens again, even something similar, ban him for life!

How could you come to such a stupid conclusion not to ban him for life? Drugs are not a young mistake and it has nothing to do with maturity. At any race while he was under the influence he could have killed someone. He placed other's lives in danger and thought nothing of the consequences of his actions. What do you tell the person's family when he kills someone? Oh, I'm sorry your father was killed, but we felt a lifetime suspension was just too hard because he was young. You bleeding heart liberals make sick. You are one of the reasons drugs are rampant on the streets and in our schools.

Well, OK, Evan - you hath caused me to backpeddle a bit. I feel so strongly about drugs because of what I have seen. The adults I knew who did drugs all had children with birth defects and mental retardation. So very sad. Let me change my idea; get him into a very intensive rehab and keep a close eye on him. Hows that!? OK - I was harsh - but I have seen first hand what drugs do to people and to their families. By the way --good to see you!

By the way - what is all this liberal hate - you a friend of Ann Coulter? Does everything have to be black and white and NO gray? I believe you read too much into things. You have to put this into perspective - no one got killed and he got caught. Lets do rehab and if he tests positive, out he goes. Is THAT to liberal Ann?

For one, do not ever label me a "bleeding heart liberals" you could not be further from the truth, and all I was getting at is, was it in his system? thats what I want to know, they say it was herion, no person could even attempt to race a car on herion, the effects are way too strong. I believe he sould be punished hard, but a life time ban? I would for one at least like to know for sure that he had done the drug, not just possesed it, if he has no traces of it in his system, then I do not feel like a life time ban is appropiate! and I respect you opinion on this topic, and pretty much agree, but would like to know exactly what happended before we ban the kid for life!

and a huge F U for the "bleeding heart liberals" comment! I am NOT!

Now im trying to hide from the tony talk, I know he did wrong, but I am ok with what actually happended, I think it would have been hard to avoid, but his comments after the race were inexcusable! he needs someone to follow him around and censor his comments! come on tony, get a grip, and dont say SHIT to the media that is negative!

Come on Evan, he was caught with the drugs, hypodermic needles, dirty spoons (dirty with heroine residue) and the symtoms!!! Excuse me but, DUH!!! What are we supposed to think??? But you know what??? I'll bet this criminal gets off because he is a "NASCAR" associated individual!!! If it would have been you or I, we would be looking at a class "D" felony!!!

I have been a teacher for ten years and I see drugs increasing in our students. I see children wasting their lives and even dying because of the drugs. Something has to be done! We have to stop rewarding these people in society. If he is caught with drugs in his system then he simply loses his ride. Simple enough! He placed others lives in danger on the track and even on the highways. There is no justification for that. I guess watching children become addicted, jailed, or die because of drugs is reading too much in to things.

Normally I have very liberal when it comes to civil rights! However, I have the civil right not to fund the lives of drug addicts and be placed in danger because they are in my society. Like it or not you will not change my mind. Don't even waste your breath. I want that trash out of society!

No chance he gets off. If it was a pain killer without a prescription maybe. But heroin just screwed him for good as far as a racing career goes. He will be lucky to ever be allowed in the pits again.

Your F U comment really shows your lack of intelligence! You are unable to back up your outrageous claims so responding in a vile, derogatory manner is your only means of communicating. Where in my comments did I say he should be banned if he did not have drugs in his system or show past use? If the man is innocent then he should not face disciplinary actions. However, look at the two of them at their mug shot and past photos. Those are two very unhealthy looking individuals. The past pictures of his girlfriend shows a very stunning lady. She certainly didn't look like that on the latest shot!

Do you honestly believe there is not someone in society doing heroin and still attempting to maintain a normal life? You just kidding yourself if you think that isn't true! There is drug use in poor, middle, and upper income homes throughout our country. I have no use drugs or drug addicts and even less for you!

Now Mr. Breeze, Evan believes the drugs was in their possession and he couldn't be guilty. It was just a strange occurrence they appeared in his vehicle! I guess one of those "bleeding heart liberals" planted them in his vehicle without his or his girlfriends knowledge. I'd be interested in knowing if there was needle marks on either of their arms. Then again a bleeding heart liberal could fake those too!
