Nascar needs a field of cars that"also ran" to make the pretty boys in the top ten, that are actually capable of winning, look good.

Because this is the WWE NASCAR show. It doesn't matter if you’re competitive, or if you're taking a spot a more talented drive should have; it's all about the rolling bill board. That is why NASCAR can't be put in the category of a real sport; it's closer to the WWE then the major sports.

Because even at 55 he is a better than average driver, has a past champion's spot, still can draw a sponsor and loves what he does. James Finch isn't a fool. If could get a 20 year old that could drive better than Bill, guarntee the car for every race, put high dollar names on the side of the car and love the sport as good as Bill, he'd be all over him. Reality is, there isn't one.

Another reason Bill is good for the sport is that despite the best efforts of little fat boy, Brian France to remove NASCAR from it's historical roots, Bill is at least a connection to the glory years of the early to mid 80s.

I see you are from the Raleigh area, do you ever go to that little bull ring known as Wake Country Speedway? I have been there a couple of times and talked to Ginger Pleasent, despite the fact that they, like so many others, are going through a bad spell right now it is a great little 1/4 mile track with a lot of action.

I guess your right, Bills good days are behind him. He sure used to put on a good show. Mike Beam was the best crewchief Bill ever had, that was way back in the McDonalds days. It would be real cool to see one of the older drivers win one this year though.......dont ya think????????

Donna, if you would just learn to converse in the English language without sounding like a grade school drop out, I could take you a little more seriously.
