How do we associate drivers with their cars? Is it their sponsors, their nicknames, the car they drive? More than likely, it's the car number.

Nice to see the #3 brought out for special events but totally agree with Richard that the #3 needs to stay Dales number forever. People who don't know a thing about NASCAR know the #3. Keeping it off the track keeps the mystic of Dale alive.

The only thing "mysterious" about the #3 is that it won at Daytona last weekend with a driver that can't win anything...

Nothing too mysterious about the fact that the powers that be are total NASCAR fans. I mean, people say there's something suspicious going, cheating, favoritism or whatever... and I say some of this stuff is so coincidental that you couldn't imagine a race would play out that way, much less try to 'fix' a race to finish with those results.

That's the reason I only believe maybe 1/2 the alleged cheating or favoritism, but one thing is certain: Those suspected acts aren't playing in favor of the 24 team and if Jeff had any discussion about not ever getting any breaks, that could probably be why he's fighting so hard to compensate.
