Apr 10, 2011 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: WIAT-TV Birmingham

The winless streak for Dale Earnhardt Jr. has reached 100 races. A week after a runner-up finish at Martinsville, where he led until being passed by Kevin Harvick with four laps to go, Earnhardt had another strong run.

He has actually lost 388 races, the last 100 are notable because they came consecutively.

JR Nation will remain loyal to him no matter how high his winless tally goes.

The nation should chip in on a trophy or vote him the fan favorite loser!

There was an 84 race drought between the last 2 wins. Gotta give him props for consistency...

How's it feel when Jr. is introduced or takes the lead and the crowd goes nuts and when your driver gets introduced or takes the lead and nobody notices. Your life really is sh*tty, isn't it? I notice you don't mention "your driver" much by name. Don't be ashamed of him, he can't help it that win, place or show, Jr. is still the face of NASCAR for the majority of race fans. Mayabe Jr. will retire, some day, and your driver will get a little attention. Until then, heres' another towel on me. Heh Heh Heh!

It doesn't bother me one bit. To me, racing has never been about popularity; it's about performance, and I will cheer for anyone who is performing well. When they start scoring the races the same way as American Idol, I'll find somewhere else to go.

I heard A LOT of cheers when Dale Jr hit the wall in Daytona...so the crowd goes "nuts" when Dale Jr screws up, too. Guess people like to see "the face of NASCAR" get knocked out of the way of the real competition on the track. Get the whiny crybaby off the track and let the real talent race.
