Feb 6, 2011 Full story: Star-telegram.com

By Anthony Andro Don't think a simplified points system that puts an emphasis on winning will keep Jimmie Johnson from a sixth NASCAR Sprint Cup title. If it were in place in 2010, he still would have won the championship. So what's going to stop him from winning No.

Bring it on. Between those guys there is a grand total of 0 Sprint Cup championships. You can't stop Jimmie. You can only hope to contain him. It's JJ's world...you all just livin' in it. The Jimmie & Chad Show WILL roll in 2011!!!

Edwards had something leaving 2008 after he'd won how many races? Oh yeah, more than anyone else that season, and then went winless until the end of 2010, two yrs later. Johnson is the only one who's carried something from one year to the next, aside from the 11 - so far the most Jimmie-like team who I personally think has the only chance because they've shown they can be a threat. Harvick was doing nada and then got a good streak of finishes no doubt, but we'll see. It's not what you can do out there, its how often you can do it without choking or pissing someone off. Had Kyle been in the hunt (really) 00 and 29 would have shown why you gotta stay away from conflict. However, Harvick got into it with all three JGR guys last season and I dont see them letting that 29 muscle past them in points.

If Tony gets all his cylinders in a row I would consider him more of a contender for Jimmie than the others mentioned here.

Your right dead center on the bulls eye with what you post about JJ and number of Championship wins (5). The rest of the pack, respected for their skills to make it to Sprint Cup level can only "hope" Jimmie somehow falters.
Like you I say.....Bring it on boys
