The Ford engine might be the breakthrough the teams needs to be competitive again.

The new FR9 has a lot of promise. It's the first new strictly racing engine Ford has had. Everything Ford has run since NASCAR went to the small block has been off the same base 351 Windsor block. Ford has gotten their nickels worth out of that motor.

I hope it's competitive. Toyota slumped fast after the first year.
