why is ford pulling the nhra plug

No doubt it is not because of any feelings of guilt because Ford has always used scams or copying others technology to gain publicity that they are the Kings of performance and nothing could be further from the truth.
Perhaps the reason for the Ford pullout is due to possible lawsuits for the copying of the MOPAR HEMI(R) and labeling it as a Ford.
Name any aspect of automotive performance whether it be Nascar, Nhra, F-1 or Indy 500 and it can be shown that a scam or others technology should get the credit.
And by the way, try to name only one item that Ford ever developed that improved the performance, safety or ease of operation of the engine or automobile.

Not quite sure why Ford Racing is leaving the Top-Fuel and Funny Car of NHRA. Maybe they think that NHRA's top series is dying a slow-death, similar to what JAPCAR is experiencing. I have not been to a live NHRA event (usually go to either Indy or Norwalk); but, on the ESPN2 shows, the stands appear to only be about half-full. Maybe the other half is back in the pits buying JFR swag or talking with John and the Force gals!
Had a great time last Thursday with my John Force shirt and Ford Racing/Roush Yates hat.
Can't really think of much Ford has pioneered. I know that is quite important to you. You really have a ton of pent-up hate for Ford, John Force and Ford Racing. I have had Psych 101 and Dev. Psych. in college and me thinks you should....let go of this, maybe.
We used to have a guy who hung around here, who was actually a licensed "shrink". Where is Dr. Dave, when we really need him. I am glad I still have the music business to keep me focused; so, I don't get into a big.....Hate MoPar. I owned one, a 71 Dart Swinger. It was a good car, with a very nice running 318. It served me well for a few years until I traded it for a 76 Monte Carlo (a real GM junker!).
Right now, Ol' Wall is a lot more worried about the direction this, formerly great, country is headed, than who invented hemi's, who violated patents for Hemi's or who won more races.
That all seems pretty miniscule, when compared to what is happening all around us, politically. That's what keeps Ol' Wall up at night. It sure isn't you or our Canadian friend knocking the shit out of Ford Racing.
You, two, are pretty entertaining, at times!

No OW, it appears you were asleep during 101 or you would realize their is a difference between hate and and an attempt to tell the ignorant masses a little simple history.
I don't think you or anyone else can think of anything Ford has pioneered except how to fool many ignorant people with scams.
Tell me if you can what made the small block bosses have better performance than the nonboss small block Fords.

Only a dream OW, truth is very many, like myself, have quit nhra meets due the having to stomach the site of the worlds No.1 liar and hypocrite.
By the way; still waiting for just one item that ford developed and please don't mention cup holders or bumper steps, or ecoboost.
As you know the boss engines had pretty good performance; I could doubt you would know the reason was a canted intake valve, and do you know who developed U.S. canted intake?????????
