Looks like Penske is leading the Owner's Championship, after the Cup Lite Race at TMS, this afternoon.

Another, great Ford Racing victory in Cup Lite, by Brad and Penske Racing. Those JAP-rides from "Tokyo" Joe just were not quite fast enough, today.

I wonder if chrisco attended the race?

I spent two days solid at Denton County's TMS last weekend and did not see a lap of racing.

My kid's high school musical group has the rights to sell the official race program at the track so I did that duty both days. Its a win-win. Eddie Gossage does not have to hire and pay local temporary crack heads to deal with what is essentially an all cash business, he gets sweet clean local high school students along with their parents to supervise them to hawk his programs. The school group gets a cut.

So what I could see from my station deep under the grandstands is that both races were incredibly sparsely attended. I know I say that every year but this was a new low - no wonder why Eddie has decided to stop reporting attendance. How he and the generous people of north Texas still manage to provide the race with the largest purse in the chase series is beyond me.

I also could look out the gates and gaze down on the NAPA CRAPA souvenir hauler, not staffed by local high school kids but a couple decrepit Kentuckians carnies (MWR needs to provide a dental plan for their employees). Alot mark downs and not alot of action out there.

Speaking of NAPA I am experiencing a Renaissance in dyi car maintenance since NAPA has decided to separate from Scum Bag Racing dba MWR. Couple weeks ago bought some lower control arms and suspension bushings for my wife's car (still giving me trouble) and an OBD2 scanner (my car is giving me the check engine light) from the NAPA on my way home from work. Would never have spent this money with them if they maintained their ties with POS.

The last, great thing I was able to discern from my time at the track was that Texans do NOT love them some Clintorous Boyer. During driver intros when his name came up the boos thundered through the concourse louder even then those for Cryle Bush, historically the boo birds favorite here at TMS. Don't know if this is happening at every track but the good honest Texas race fan clearly has no appreciation for Clinty's itchy elbow.

chrisco....great to hear from you! Likewise, I will probably do some business with CRAPA, in the future. Around here I like KOI which is one of Ken Schrader's sponsors.
