What happened to Dave Despain? Michael is coming off like a stooge! The new show is awful! Can we please get the old format back. Can there be at least one show about NASCAR that doesn't pander to the lowets common denominator of NASCAR fan?

you must be the president of the Dave Despain fanclub--small club, I hear. Isn't he still doing "wind tunnel?" I heard that he actually put himself to sleep one time while he was talking...

I agree I hated the show tonight! I liked Dave Despain and I also liked Kenny Schrader and Mike Waltrip's banter! Why do they have to mess with something that works! DANG!

Hey, I gotta agree on the haircut for Mikey! Man, does his wife let him go out in public like that? It's not like he can't afford a haircut!

But I really liked the old show better. It was always good for a laugh! Kenny and Mikey had a great "edgy" friendship. I also like their candid comments. This new show is too civilized! I don't care who hosts but give me back Mikey and Kenny and the laid back style of the old show!

I haven't watched it yet, been running errands, but you guys aren't the only ones who didn't like it. Some of the others on the Mikey Members board said it sucked too. I will tell you what I think tomorrow. Just remember, it was their first studio show with the new format. You can't say it sucks just yet. This particular episode maybe but not the show.

Maybe "Hair" needs to work with his hair a little. Where is that Buffster when we really need her. Send POS back to CA with the famous stylist he used, once before. "Hair" looked "marvie" after that dude worked on him!

LOL Banger, I totally agree with you. I haven't watched the show yet because hubby won't get off his PS3(that's what I get for letting him get a 42" Vizio with full HD and 1080P) but I agree on the hair thing. I think his hair looked great after that Jonathan dude chopped it off. Then, I am partial to short hair, growing up in a military family.

I wasn't particularly pleased with the show and his hair was AWFUL! Don't they have hair and makeup people on the set? If a professional did that, they need to be fired. If they let him do it himself, they really need to be fired.

But anyway, I preferred the old format where they talked about the race from the day before. I really didn't need to see what happened last year as it pretty much means nothing for this weekend since it is a completely different car. If they don't want to focus on the past (i.e. this weekends race) then why bother with a year ago.

Hopefully it was just one bad show and it will get better from here. It all seemed really scripted.

Mabe Mikey is gonna package up his hair later on in the year and sell it for charity like his gold wheels. I bet his hair would bring more money!

You all was (is) worrying about Mikey's hair, and missed a really good segment on the Dodges having a gear advantage over the other teams! They got approval from NASCAR to run a different gear ratio, other than the 2 ratio that was being run by all the other teams! This was on wind tunnel also, so there must be something to it!

Wow thats a pretty drastic exception to the rule, that must of had a pretty profound effect of the outcome of the race. Do you think that we will be hearing anyone cry foul about it?

I would be! DW wasn't to happy about it, BUT, Spencer and Kenny Wallace didn't seemed to fazed by it according to Pemberton it would only reduce thier RPM very little at the same speeds???? I'm not sold on that, To many Dodges in the top 10 finish as compared to the rest of speed weeks, qualifying and testing for me to believe it didn't effect the outcome of the race!

Ouch, let the uproar begin

As far as TWIN, I finally watched and yeah, it seemed a bit scripted. Didn't like that. Michael was his usual wonderful self trying to keep things lively. They will get better. It was their first studio show and just remember another thing while you are saying it sucked, this is NOT Inside Nextel Cup anymore. It's a different show. They are not going to talk solely about the Cup race.... it's about the WEEK IN NASCAR..... meaning everything that is happening this week or last.

Michael's hair didn't look too good. But where is Buffy? Are they separated or not? I do hope to see Michael wearing his wedding ring again soon and maybe his hair will get better. Also while I at it, I also hope that they don't get into trouble again bending the rules. I love MWR and hope they will be great this next year.

The new show is really no where near as entertaining as the old format. I like Byrnes but the format sucks. The old format was much better. Guess we should start beating up speed to get it back to basics. After all, its "Our Nascar" according to the new marketing campaign. Give us our show back!!!!1

I have seen women do that for cancer patients. Michael has that thick beautiful dark brown with just a streak of gray. I bet he could donate some of it and a lady or man for that matter, would not only have a boost of self-esteem to have a head full of hair, but when they found out whose head it came from, ha, they would not even care if their own hair grew back. They would always want to wear the new one!! Michael would do something like that for someone else if he could, for sure.
