I work in an office that does drug screens and yes the claritin and aderral would have shown up as amphetamines not methemphetamines. Also, everyone here that tests positive for meth always has that excuse. Why they don't do a hair follicle drug screen is beyond me. They are more accurate and they go back 90 days. And if his lawyer is so great why isn't he telling him to keep his mouth shut. Probably because he knows he doesn't have a chance of winning. Shouldn't Jeremy be the one who should do the hair follical test? I've seen people say this and I'm wondering who everyone thinks should front the money for the test. Since Jeremy is disputing the results I think he should. But then again, he hasn't already done it for a reason.

The typical NASCAR fan is a racist beer-swilling redneck whose drug of choice is meth -- or so the stereotype goes. I'm not saying the stereotype is true, but a large number of NASCAR fans are missing teeth. I jest, most NASCAR fans are not meth head rednecks, but NASCAR driver is a meth head with the IQ of a rotten head of lettuce. At first Mayfield declared: "I believe that the combination of a prescribed medicine and an over the counter medicine reacted together and resulted in a positive drug test." But now incredibly he is accusing NASCAR of spiking the urine sample. Only a fellow meth head would be convinced by that lame explanation. The use of steroids and other illegal drugs have done incalculable harm to the NFL, MLB and the NBA. Why would NASCAR deliberately tarnish its relatively clean reputation? NASCAR should hit Mayfield with a lifetime ban, it's bad enough that Mayfield was caught using drugs, but it's inexcusable that he is deliberately damaging the reputation of NASCAR

Now we're still not clear on what he's addicted to, but reading through the report from Aegis it is meth, the only way the metabolized amphetamine ends up there is from meth, especially when the Aegis didn't find any pseudoephrin (or whatever it is). Frankly, you read the test that Aegis does, how they test, and how many of these tests that they have done and then you go to labcorp, whose idea of a test report is a cover letter with negative on it, and you begin to realize we're not even in the same league here. JM can't take on Nascar and he should really walk away before they hit him with a defamation suit, which I'm pretty surprised hasn't already hit him. I mean they have the breach of contract one, maybe it's in there. Seriously, Brian France and Dr Black already have great defamation cases against him if this doesn't play out in his favor.

If Jeremy has ever used meth, he should have come out in the beginning and said that he needed help and fans and nascar would have respected that. Too late now.
I do not "think" nascar would be crazy enough to spike his result. But, just what if Jeremy is telling the truth? I am not taking sides, only asking what if?

I have been very confused about the two drugs you mentioned, thanks for clearing them up. I think you are right about Jeremy, he has gotten into some bad stuff, too bad.

There are several compounds that are produced by converting ephederine into meth that are not going to be found in any other combination than metamphetamine. If he is/was so squeaky clean why no hair test on his own? If my career was being ended by a false positive test I would be doing something more than filing & whining. He could have gotten his own hair follicle test done and that would have been the end of it all. And probably would have, as I have heard of many false negative results. Maybe the ACLU will pick up his case. Also look at what the FAA considers to be unsafe drugs to be flying on. There are some that will disqualify you from flying, why should driving a cup car be any different?
