Truex wins Daytona pole

It took less than 48 seconds Sunday for Martin Truex Jr. to shift the attention away from layoffs, sponsor searches and a merger for his race team.

Truex winning the pole for the 500, and all the while driving a car from the DEI stable. Geeze, didn't we hear for years from the whiny Jr that Teresa (the wicked stepmother) didn't give the DEI team any good equipment?

Also consider that last year, when the whiny Jr was driving for one of the best teams, with the best equipment, he got but one (controversial) win.

Maybe the problem never was the DEI cars, maybe the reason Jr doesn't win is because Jr isn't the driver that NASCAR wants us to believe he is.

The point is, Jr was always whining about the DEI equipment and blaming Teresa. He really didn't drive any better last season, in the HMS car, the best in the business. Apparently, the car is not the problem, Jr has only himself to blame for the fact that he can't drive worth a crap.
