Thanks for the video, but that just raises more questions for me.
What the heck was that all about?
Why did KB bump CE?
Did CE do something to KB ealier during the race?
What rookie mistake did Jr. make?
At the start of the race Junior passed before the start finish line. Which is legal only if it's a restart not the beginning. Therefor he had a pass through penalty and ended up a lap down.
CE did a bump and run on KB with about 30 laps left. KB could not catch him. In kind he hit CE after the race and CE came back at him.

Thanks for the info.

I finally saw the video and interview of the incident and I have to say that KB really looked like moron.

I like KB he's not one of the guys I root for, but I love his driving style.

Many people have said how they hate the way he acts and all the things he's done this year, but other than one or two incidents (no more than most drivers) I think they are full of it.

He just proved me wrong and others right.

I think he has a great shot at the championship, but to be a champion you have to win with class and lose with dignatiy.

So the word that comes to mind right now is "unimpressed"!

As for Jr. he was proving me wrong at the beginning of the season with his consistant runs, but now he's showing what I've been saying all along.

What I find interesting is, when TEJ was making some calls to try and do something different (and if they would have worked it would have put Jr. in a good spot to win) he was public enemy number one.

Jr. make a huge mistake and no one says really anything about it.

This goes back to one of my first sayings on this site.

Excuse nation.

It's always someone else fault, someone else to blame.

Well not this time so where is the outrage?

Were is the public fire squad?

Jim, no one is making excuses for him, I admit he made a stupid mistake and it cost him. No one is making excuses for him. I believe Jr will turn things around.

I'm with you on this 100%. Have enjoyed KB's driving style, admired him with all the wins, but he doesn't have the qualities of a true champion. Not at all. And I was very unimpressed as well. If he takes out Carl on purpose just to get even during the chase, I'll find it very hard to even appreciate his drving style anymore. That'll taint it big time.

By not flying off the handle and not holding him accountable as everyone did with TEJ that's as good as making up an excuse.

Everyone threw TEJ under the bus, so why doesn't Jr. get the same treatment?

Yea that was a stupid mistake on his part. I think maybe he thought it was just the leader you couldn't pass or the leader was the one to pass. It is a really short track also. Oh well. There was times I thought he got it back and they were sayin he was 2 laps down. I never seen Jr get passed so what was up with that. Anyways.

Jim no one is makin excuses for Jr on this one. he screwed the pooch. But that don't mean anything. I think he can win one of these next two races if he and Eury can get things straight. Ya know?

I agree with you 100% Jim except for the excuse nation, If you look back I have said that Jr made a stupid rookie mistake that he should have know better then to do that crap. But I am still a fan Im just alittle pissed off right now adn saturday was nobody's fault but Jr,and he will admit that to anyone. Do I agree with alot of Tony Jr's calls No I dont, but he had nothing to do with this weekend and what happened.
and you statement about Kyle and the championship was said perfectly and you took the words out of my mouth. I think Kyle is a very talented driver but sometimes if you let your head get to big thats when you make those mistakes, and I think that is going to be the down fall for Kyle.

I never flew off the handle or threw Tony Jr under the bus like others did. Junior made a mistake as did Tony Jr with some of his pit strategy, but there is no reason to go into orbit about it. They made mistakes, as we all do, and I moved on. If some of his fans expect perfection from the both of them, I suggest they pick someone else to cheer for.

As for Kyle, what a two faced liar. If he had done that, it owuld have been perfectly legal and okay and just racing. But when it happens to him? Geesh, I am surprised he didn't throw himself on the ground and start pitching a temper tantrum like the child he is.
I watched victory lane tonight and on there Kyle said that Carl would "get retribution." I am sorry, but to me that just sounds like he said on national tv, in front of God and everyone, that he plans on paying Carl back. If he gets a penalty, I am sure he will be put on probation. Nascar will be watching him close. Be increadibly stupid on his part to get Carl back.
He didn't say HE would do anything, just that there would be retribution. Do you really think that everyone likes CE!!?? He is worse that Mr. Ed, he is a horses a@@! On steriods yet.

I guess everyone has amnesia re Gordon, Stewart, Wallace, Rudd, etc..bump and run before during and after the race.
Helmets grabbed, water bottles tossed, bodies, pushed (Kenseth and gordon anyone??) Most busch haters are jealous that he can do what he does so easily and efffortlessly..ie, win races, He has a sense of humor, can drive anything without excuses (jr fans hear this) and is always sin the zone.

Retribution means to get something in return for what you have done. That is what Kyle got Saturday night. Kyle also said that if that is how Carl wanted to race in the chase, that's how they would. Sounds to me like he is planning on getting Carl back. You are lying to yourself if you think that he isn't.

Judging by the cheers that went up after Carl spun Kyle around, I would say that there are a great deal of people who now like Carl. Steriods? Actually it is called working out. Kyle may want to try it sometime.

I am for real. Are you? You kind of sound like your driver. Pissy that he got a taste of his medicine.

Here's my excuse for Jr passing cars before the start/finish line.

Back on July 26th at the Nationwide race at O'Reilly Raceway Kyle Busch qualified 2nd next to Colin Braun who was the pollsitter. Kyle Busch passed Colin Braun before the start/finish line and even the announcers commented about it. Kyle Busch was not black flagged like the announcers (and everyone watching the race) thought he would be. Kyle Busch ended up winning the race. Jr must have thought since NASCAR cheated for Kyle Busch then why wouldn't they cheat for him especially since NASCAR always cheats for Jr. Not a rookie mistake, he just wanted to see if NASCAR was going to give him the same advantage as they give Kyle Busch. Well I guess he got his answer and the answer is no because Jr got black flagged.

Just like when Kyle Busch ran over his air hose on pit road, he wasn't pentalized but just the week before Greg Biffle was.

Now who is NASCAR playing favorites to? Not Jr... Looks like NASCAR is closing their eyes to Kyle Busch and his cheating ways.

So you saw the return of the bump and run. It came back. It was classic Bristol. It's classic short track racing really. I have said before, I am not a fan of the bump-and-run but I understand it. Going into Turn 1 there, Carl nerfed Kyle a tad. He didn't wreck him. He just gave him a little tap and shot him up the hill and Carl went on. I really thought it was going to be a non-incident, because you saw Kyle come hard down the backstretch and give Carl a little shove. They raced hard in Turns 3 and 4. Carl finally got away and then here came Denny Hamlin and kind of held Kyle up a little while and then Carl went on to win the race.
The word acording to Darrell Waltrip
