OK, how 'bout this-I think that Kurt Busch should have been suspended for a race. But then again, the 100 points might hurt him more. What's your opinon?

Nascar states that it is fan driven. well how about the fan sentiment expressed through various forums and polls. The majority wanted a suspension and they got a sissy slap on the wrist. KB must be laughing. So anything goes I guess and Nascar in its quest for consistency will give a 100/100 penalty. 100% bull-crappo if ya ask me. Maybe TS was right in his statement that Nascar is becoming much like Wrestling. Just wait for the final 10 races. Those who didn't make it to the chase can pretty-much do as they please on the track. They already know what the penalty will be. So consider an act of revenge and all it will cost is a few points and cash. Hell I wish they would do that with the law. Then I could finally get rid of my neighbor assjerk and have peace.

I think NASCAR could have been a little harder on Busch. But as Robin Pemberton pointed out, they DID park him during the race which only allowed him a 42nd place finish. Take another 100 points away,$100,000.00, and probation, seems fair enough, but when will Tony get his?

He was in effect suspended for 1 race by virtue of the fact that he was PARKED for the remainder of the Dover race! At the time he was running 6th, and ended up with a 42nd place finish. That translates to appx. a 113 point differential. Add 113 to 100 plus a $100,000 fine and 100 owner point deduction. That is a very substantial reprimand!!!

Here, here!!! When will Tubby get HIS??? Ironic isn't it? Stewart accuses NASCAR of cheating and their ruling benefits HIM!!! You don't hear him complaining now!!! Hypocrite!!!

I do see your point Mindy, but he was in effect parked anyway by the fact that his car was junk. Yes they could have fixed it a bit and got him back on the track, but how good would he have done. So if nascar used that in consideration -like a time served kind of thing- it was pretty-much canceled out.
Not real good at annalogies, but kind of like a thief loosing the loot while running from the law and the judge using that fact in imposing sentence stating, "well he has suffered by the loss of the items he stole...." LOL

You all make good points, but do you think that if he were to do something this boneheaded again later on down the road, that his "probation" will kick in and force a suspension then? I don't, and that is why I think that NASCAR should have done it now while they still had the guts to do it. And that is putting it nicely. Guys like Kurt Busch won't stop until they are given good reason to.
