My problem with Mark Martin is his wishywashy "This is the best car that I have ever driven. This is the best team that I have been a part of. My sponsors are the best in the business."

To me, that's being very disrespective of his previous teams, and basically throwing them to the wolves.

For example: When he drove the 8, DEI was the "bestest" there was, and he was "honored" to be driving for DEI. Funny, he lasted one year in the 8 car and as soon as possible bailed out of DEI. To me, that reeks of disingeniouty.

Prior to him leaving DEI, he said that he was only going to be racing fulltime for one year in the 5. His last chance to obtain that elusive championship. Then, he was going to go back to his part-time gig with the 5. His words, not mine.

This year, he's saying...Oh, I never said that about a Championship. Yes he did. And now, he's reneged on the deal with the 5 going part-time in 2010.

Mark HAD his opportunity for a championship, and to be fair, he may get it this year. I don't think he will, but stranger things have happened.

Chalk up another "w" for Mark and the 5 team. The "nice guy" is getting it done.

Mark reminds me of Jimmy Carter. Too nice to be anything.

Well yeah they need a "safe" driver he's drove at every track at least 100 times. He better be able to find his way around.

I think for Mark to be a contender for the Cup he needs to be a bit more consistant.

I've noticed that he seems to follow wins up with 30th or worse.

Yes, but all of these 30th or worse seem to be caused by Bad luck most of the time.

I agree 100% with you're post.
The man is respected on and off the track by all, up in years by NASCAR standards but still razor sharp as a driver.

+1. There's a book out about him being the most over rated driver in nascar history.

Over rated is two words. I notice you've done that a couple times today in your post and projects you made.

You are so 5th grade. You reek of insecurity bringing up flaws of others make you the insecure person feel better affirming you're not the only flawed person while taking attention away from you're problems. Face your problems head on then you wont feel the need to do this.
