NASCAR on Speed!! Woot!!

Wanna watch the race again?

I guess Im a fan of racing, not of race winners. I like seeing cars set up passes, race side by side, get a run off of turns, get a nose down under, draft and push, come in hot to pit lane, shootout style restarts, and everything in between. So what who's up front, and if that driver breaks away, I look for who I want to come in second or third. Go JPM! Go Martin, Go Gordon!! Look at Logano!! Good work everyone who got a good finish, I enjoyed the show and all involved.

Why does NASCAR make driving such an archiac car in circles so complicated?

Jimmy starting 15 at martinsville, It could get interesting if Gordon wins and Jimmy gets wrecked in traffic.

Well his 6 wins there - only one is from the pool. He can get his rhythm and come to the front. Funny though - whenever it seems Johnson is off his game, I think Chad's up to something. Playing it safe in Qualifying, or some other method to his madness.

There could be a plan in effect... like I thought it was odd for him to pic that rear-most pit stall for a couple races but it has benefits. Starting up front vs starting 15th - the cars around you will probably be closer to JJs leisurely pace, whereas those up front will be flying. Could be Chad wants to sneak up to the front rather than have to be at his best trying to hold off the others. Sometimes its best to just let somebody else flex their muscles up front and take the spotlight off your guy.. If he's destined for a good finish, he'll get it, but they have a decent points cushion so they can relax and ride 95% for the 1st 1/2...

at least that's one theory as to whats going on.=)

If this was a Chad plan, it's rather silly. Not too bad to qualify mid pack for other tracks, but at Martinsville, if any of the guys in front of him screw up, they could take Jimmie out. You need to start out front in Martinsville from the start because of pit stalls. This is one of the tracks where pit stall choice is very important.

all of you people are coming up with all this crap, for one every crew cheif tries to push the limits, thats how its always been, gordon did a feww years back for a while and look how many of you are fans of his. i dont believe they are cheating though, jimmie is a great driver, there are many others like him, but put him with chad and its a winning combination everytime, its not their fault they are one of the best teams of all time. if it were your driver none of you would mind. i do have to admit though that it is getting a bit repettitive, he cant help it though, what is he supossed to do, start losing on purpose to make all of you happy? and lastly nascar is starting to piss me off with all these dumb ass rules, wtf is up with no bump drafting and the smaller plates, they are putting these drivers in a box, racing is getting worse and worse each race, the driver skill is being taken out of it.

Knaus is smart and smug...I just hate where we are with Nascar...I grew up when you loved an allison or a bonnett or yarborough...no super teams no all inclusive drive for diversity bullcrap. just guys with gutted cars with roll cages big engines and lead feet. I know I know we can't go back but the 48 team has figured out how to work the system.. can't blame them. They make great adjustments and Johnson is a much better driver than most hardcore folks think he is. He is very disciplined. But this last deal at taladega was ridiculous I was there paid 240 for my two tickets plus everthing else and I could have watched the interstate for as much entertainment the first few hours...Then Chad puts fuel in jimmie s car when they get red flagged....He was the only one that realized all the cautions at the end added enough extra laps to let everyone start running out of gas..Is he that much smart or are the rest of crew chiefs that stupid. I guess Johnson and knaus deserve the championship but I m going elsewhere to watch racing....another series or something..

Unfortunately,I think you are right alot will take the hundreds to thousand they spend on nascar and watch other forms..hopefully local track , or drags or dirt...Its just better and more real racing....sad but true...and the stage is set in vegas and most will tune out if jimmie wins...I will only watch the other drivers speaches..and I will tune out the rest for some other sports and tv show. It would be interesting to see how much the ratings drop after the other driver say their speeches vs.jimmies time. It is not fair that vegas's first will have poor ratings because of it being jimmy's 4th. People are sick of this show Something needs to happen .... but nascar is blind, deaf and dumb to this.

What gets me is that they don't see it. I mean an idiot can tell they are ruining the sporting and fans are dropping like flies. I cannot believe they don't this. So why do they keep screwing with a perfectly good sport. The racing that we want basically died with Dale Sr. If he was here none of this would be happening. I know I make him out like a God, and that's not my intention. NASCAR listened to Sr. who had some pretty good ideas.
Oh well can't change the past.

And the sad part is that the drivers don't dare say anything for fear of being fined, penalized or losing their ride. Nascar has cut their balls off. Tony used to be more outspoken, but since he became a team owner he has become almost as PC as the rest. The sport has lost its fire, and now drivers have to turn around and bend over to take what France shoves up their ass or get out of the sport.

I hope the Speed channel increases coverage of dirt track races. They are allot more exciting, and the racers aren't a bunch of vanilla flavored pretty boys.

Couldn't have said it any better Hotrod. That team has figured out how to use the system to their advantage...and it's very irritating and frustrating as a fan to see the super team win another one. NASCAR has done a great job of keeping the drivers "safe" however, they are ruining the sport. I'm done with the CHASE this year - just hand the trophy over and spare us until Daytona!

And ^^ THIS person's complaint is something I can respect because he had invested $$ in it and because its not 100% hater talk like he's having a spaz session or a temper tantrum. I'm sorry you were disappointed, bud. Maybe one day they'll get all the safety stuff figured out. My suggestion would be just double up and reinforce the fences. They ran with 1 fence for this long, so they can double that safety level and let the drivers get back to crazy!

Yes - Chad is sharp and his awareness level for whats going on is probably at least a step ahead of the others. I picked that up just be how he talks in interviews as oposed to how the others talk. He's like a master chef vs some guy with a store-bought cake in a baking contest. lol
