His crew chief has been caught cheating several times in the past. I don't know if he's cheating now, but I can't help but wonder.

Very bad for the sport. Boring races whenever he leads so much. we changed channels & did not finish the race & we have been race fans for ever, & ever. They are losing us. I really feel sorry for the other drivers. There is a lot of good drivers out there, He is a good driver but not the best, it is his cheating , gray line, crew chief. It would be great if they would give Knaus to Junior. YEA . plus would someone please tell his stringy haired wife to please do something with her hair. Looks like she doesn't have the money to go to hairdresser. NO,I do not need negative comments. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. & I have my opinion. Thank You!!!!

Personally I agree with you. When he's out front I go and find something else to do and check back periodically to see what's up. When he's taking the race over, it's over for me. I could care less about watching it.
And yes his wife needs to do something to herself. I mean it's not like she doesn't have the money. She could hire a professional to travel every wk-end with her if she wanted.
And yes all of you can throw all the comments you want, but we are entitled to our opinion.

Well heres my opinion then. If it was say Kurt Busch you all would be doing the same thing to him. Doesn't matter who the driver is. Just happens that its JJ. So if it was Tony would you all be screaming conspiracy? Of course not. So do any of you look as good as Chandra? Probably not. I'm sure she couldn't care less what you haters think because she's happy with who she is. The wife of the best driver in Nascar! Bring it home Jimmie! Wooooooo!

Everyone's entitled to an opinion, but this forum isn't about drivers wives? No offense by that comment, of course.

And for me, Sprint Cup has officially became a joke. I enjoy Nationwide races more than it now.

I like Jimmie, trust me. But it's barely a challenge any more. No wrecks, hardly any battles, it's so boring!

tony is my favorite but I would get sick of him winning every race and if he was cheating to do it i would be ashamed.. Mostly I be happy if he(tony) did his best. But to be honest I am to the point of wanting anyone but jimmy. I just want to see someone else be champion...there are plenty of deserving drivers who have put as much or more into their bid...and IF and I say IF jimmy and chad are cheating.( raise of hands on who thinks they are winning honestly?) It will be the biggest black eye nascar has expirenced and what will you say then? Deserving drivers that should have been on those podiums will have missed their moment...and nascar can not make up for that !!!

then what will be Jimmys legacy?

I just want to see him come by this honestly and I am not sold he is.. they just have not caught him..

Last night in VL both Chad and Rick were all over the inside of the car while it was in VL . I am not sure why they would let those two do that before the inspectors take possesion. watch the VL footage. Not saying they did anything wrong. but to me no one should be touching the car till inspectors get done checking it out. Nascar officials in VL should be watching that car so no one touches anything till it is inspected. Both chad and rick were leaning in and out of the car. They could have been doing anything!!!!

Nobody has that kind of luck! I agree, I think something is up, but who knows? They will never get caught. I too am a huge Tony fan, and I must say that if he was having this kind of success for the fourth year in a row, I would have to wonder about that. I for one can't stand Chad or Jimmie. Not a big Gordon fan either, but last night I was screaming for Gordon to beat out JJ. Like someone said earlier....anybody but Jimmie Johnson. Mark Martin is also getting on my last nerve with his "Oh golly gee...yadah, yadah, yadah." Why watch the same movie over and over when you know how it's going to end? That's the way I feel about NASCAR at this point in the season. Up to the start of the chase, I enjoyed watching, now it's just the Jimmie/Chad show!

the people who have posted on this forum I think depict a cross section of america and how they feel about the chad and jimmy show. It does not make jimmy a bad person ...i do not hate him ...I just do not think him winning another championship will do nascar any good...people are falling by the wayside and tired of this.

As i said before "Jimmys house" was not full last night and it being a chase race and in the heart of nascar country from before nascar was Nationalized...that speaks volumes of the health of the sport. Thr Frances need to take notice and make the right changes before they have nothing to salvage... we to were chanel changing all last night...

Jeff dominated the series in the 90s . I still think it gets down to the chassis set up & the handling of the car . They said on Sirius . They set Jeff's car up Identical to the set up on the 48 car . Jeff couldn't drive the car . He hated the set up . So its just trying out different chassis set ups till all the other driver find their comfort zone .JMO

Okay this is my opinion. Yes, I am bored with the Jimmie and Chad show. But I would be bored with any driver that dominated week after week and I think others would be as well. I am also way over the announcers shoving him down my throat week after week, but I would probably feel the same if it were another driver that they constantly talk about during the race (ut used to be Junior). Are ratings affected? Probably so. Its the same in other sports, most don't want to watch a blowout week in and week out. As far as conspiracy theories go, I honestly don't know that answer. Chad is a very smart crew chief, but is it because he is that good at mechanics or just that good at pushing the gray area? I do think that Nascar needs to find someone to level the playing field. Having one team dominations (remember Roush a couple of years ago) is not good for any sport. JMO

I will admit that Jimmie is a very good driver and Chad is one of the best but I just don't think they are that much better than everybody else. I think there's something going on that nascar just hasn't been able to find yet. As close as the competition is you can't have just one team have it all figured out for 4 years now and everybody else still be behind.

I hate to say it but I think next year will be more of the same and you will see even more empty seats at ALL the tracks.

I was at the race last night and found myself cheering Jeff on.Alot of people around me were saying the same thing "anybody but Jimmie"Alot of people with the cheating conspiracy talk.We left as the white flag flew not wanting to see yet another Jimmie win.I normally stay to wait out the traffic but so many had left before me it took us no time to get back to our hotel in Mooresville.Lets hope Martinsville gives us a different winner.

Just hand JJ the trophy now and spare us until Daytona. The Chase format has become a joke. We've got 12 drivers in contention for the championship and we've got 31 other drivers tip toeing around them week after week. And let's not even talk about drivers who have won races and didn't make the Chase...that's a travesty. Driver's in the Chase w/o victories...that's a joke! A driver with a crew chief that has been suspended for cheating on at least 3 occasions - that's just plain wrong! I didn't even bother with the race last night & I'm not too happy about heading to Martinsville next weekend! Well, I'll enjoy the tailgating! Anybody but a Hendrick driver!

I wouldn't count on it....Jimmie has been pretty dominate at Martinsville. I think the best thing we can hope for is that they find something wrong with the 48 car during inspection, suspend Chad for the remainder of the year and dock JJ 200 points...that would add some excitement to the rest of the Chase.

I've read numerous articles, by not only bloggers but professional writers who feel that JJ winning a fourth is NOT good for the sport. Like me, they don't hate JJ, but with one team dominating nearly every race, something is inherently wrong with the system.

Two things I've said before: No driver should be allowed to win a championship if their team is caught cheating during the seaon. And second, the Chase plays directly into Chad/Jimmie's hand. Last season, Kyle would have won the Cup with no Chase, this season, Tony would have won the Cup and the year before last, Jeff Gordon probably would have won.

You can't take anything away from JJ and Chad, but when ONE car dominates the way he has, when one car can get so far ahead of every other car, it does make you wonder.

Sorry to the 48's fans, but JJ winning another Cup will have a negative impact on Nascar, not only for the rest of this season, but for next season also. There had better be some major changes to this sport IF they want it to survive

Oh, and before the JJ lovers scream their constant "you're jealous" and all that crap, I'd be saying the same thing if Matt or Tony were stomping the competition. One team's dominance does not bode well for any sport. Heck, one of the reasons I don't watch golf anymore is because I'm tired of Tiger winning it all. Same for baseball and the same teams winning all the time.

Maybe they should confiscate the car and let all the teams give it the once over and level the playing field ...since they can not test.

I would really like to know how much input the 48 team had on the COT? There is nobody that lucky unless they are cheating. I feel the same about Crybaby Shrub in Nationwide.
