Lax rules on bumping disappoints at Daytona
There was a tangible sense of electricity surrounding the first event of Speedweeks, a race everyone expected to be so rough-and-tumble that NASCAR's relaxed rules toward aggressive driving would most certainly be tested.

These guys are not idiots, unlike some writers. They're not going to go out there and do a demo. derby just to give some blood thirsty fools a thrill. Yesterday an article on here whined that it was "Going to be too dangerous", now the other side is whining because it wasn't dangerous enough. No wonder NASCAR doesn't pay much attention to all the fans. Just like in politics, everyone is NEVER going to be happy. Blood thirsty ones need to go find Demo Derbys and the wimps need to take up RC cars and leave NASCAR alone to the people who actually understand racing and enjoy it.
