Most wins not a lock-in for the Chase in NASCAR
This is what an emphasis on winning looks like, huh? Two drivers have won more races than anyone else and both of them might miss the Chase, NASCAR's 10-race playoff to determine its champion.

Wins need to give more points to the drivers. If you don't win a race you don't belong in the chase!

Just because you win doesn't mean you're consistent enough to remain in the chase. It rewards consistency that's the point.

I'd say if you win a lot of races and don't make it into the chase you don't belong there either. A champion is consitently the best, not the best occasionally the best. It gets tiring for them to keep changing the rules on what the champion is, hopefully they won't change it again unless it's to undo the whole chase format.

I would agree with you and I do unless it's Mark in that position. He's not but to be honest everyone would change that depending on where their driver stands.
