For crying out loud, people! If you can't write a story about Bowyer's penalty without putting Jr's name in the headline, maybe you shouldn't be writing at all. I know the margin wasn't that close in '04, so I did some investigating: Jr finished 5th, 138 points back of Kurt Busch. Therefore, his 50 point penalty wasn't a factor. Give him back the 50 points, and he still only finishes 4th. How in the Hell is this relevant to Bowyer's fine that pushed him from 2nd - 35 points back, to 12th - 185 points back, in one fell swoop? More shoulda-woulda-coulda from Jr Nation, wrapped in the disguise of a piece on Bowyer.
Despicable.

Please! I didn't even read this article, the title alone was amusing enough. Like Clint had any chance of winning the championship. People sure get carried away with a single race win don't they? Even when that win comes from a guy who barely made it in and hasn't won a single race all year. Cost him the title indeed.

Clint is the one who made
the remark superman's cape(Jimmie Johnson) is getting shorter.
Wonder how he feels now after he lost his own cape, crew chief, and car chief. Sometimes they open mouth and insert foot.

Just because he said it and got busted cheating doesn't mean that Jimbos cape isn't getting smaller. He made a remark based on the truth.

Guess
we just wait and see. I don't want him to win another championship
but if I was a gambler I would not bet against it.

They need to leave Clint alone, give his points back and let him race, His car was fine before the race. I guess he got out on the track in front of everyone and did what ever it was they said was wrong with his car I DON'T THINK SO This using someone to set an example is B S why not Jimmy Johnson or someone else.Clint is a good guy leave him alone

Who's kidding who, Jr. has never had a chance to win the championship, penalty or not. Here's the real deal, if you build it so close to the limit that something happens that causes it to go over the limit, you're responsible. So take it like a man and move on to the next challenge. NASCAR has the deal stacked. You're not going to get even close to a fair chance in front of "their" appeal panel. These "honored" people that NASCAR invites to set on this panel and wines and dines and pays their expenses when their service is needed. Does any of that sound even remotely impartial. NASCAR isn't a democracy, it's a total dictatorship. Brian France is the king and NO one tells him he has no cloths on. He owns the ball game and HIS referees call the game. The rules are whatever they want them to be this week that they think benefits NASCAR. Anythin else is "detrimental to the sport."
