That new crew chief isn't any better than the last one. He can't get Jr to stop in his pit box either.

Two races isnt enough time to judge the situation or fix the monstrosity that is the 88's performance.

So you'd say that it's Chad's fault that he couldn't get Jimmie to stop in his pit box this weekend?

That doesn't make sense. It was Jr's fault, not Lance's

Are you implying with this post that it is Jrs fault and not the crew chief?

It was Jr's fault for overshooting his pit, even he said that on the radio. It happens too much to him, but I wonder if, since we are JR fans, we see it, but there are others doing it.

Mikey turned all the way around coming into the pits, the guy in the Nationwide actually turned in front of someone going to the garage, when the other guy was trying to get to his pits. AND Jimmie overshot his!

Oh, absolultey, all of the other drivers have done it too. But when JR does it , it is more televised and talked about just because of who he is and how he started the year. 7882

When a lot of cars are coming down pit road on a caution stop I always see cars sliding, swerving, and having all kinds of trouble. I think it does happen a lot, but we see it every time it happens to Jr over and over again. I agree that it is his fault and not the crew chief.

I agree, missing the pits is all on Dale. However, all the drivers seem to be doing it this season...yet, none of them get talked about.

Here is a little fact for yall. Last Sunday at Pocono, Martin Truex Jr, Ryan Newman, Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart, Dale Earnhardt Jr, and Greg Biffle all missed their pit box. Guess which one got all the attention? Guess which one got pointed to the whole world. Dale Earnhardt Jr's mistake and Jimmie Johnson's mistake were the only mistakes pointed out. Jr's every little move get pointed out whether its good or bad. The media needs to back off and let this guy focus and fix the issues without having to explain his every move. Then Dale might be able to repair this and bring back the old, winning, Dale Jr that we all know he is. The guy is highly talented, he has proven that. But your confidence would start to drop if you saw your every mistake every time you turn the tv on. Just back off and let the guy do his thing. Hell NASCAR needs him to run well and win races for ratings. So get off his back and let him do it.

Give it up, no other driver has missed their pit several times this season, or even more than once in the same race this season. And Jr has driven right by his pit (not just overshot it) at least twice this season. It's not that everybody drives like that and they only point it out when it's Jr. Sure, they all make the mistakes from time to time, but Jr makes them ALL the time. That's why he's down in the points, he keeps screwing up and making more mistakes than even a rookie would make. Certainly, he's not driving like a professional race car driver and the pros are, whether the cameras are on them or not, the points verify that FACT.
