The change in curtule is that the Clook (Hendlick) and Clooked (NASCAL) Show is focusing on Dare Jl. instead of cheating/gifting foul championships to Jimmy.

A few years ago, Jeff Gordon learned that without racing buddies to help you in the draft, you cannot win a plate race.....jr is learning that now, but in no way am I comparing JG and jr as drivers,'cause there is no comparison, jr isn't in the same league as JG. The problem that I see is that jr has very few racing buddies that would help him win a plate race and the days of old where he didn't need a push from anyone are long gone. If jr gets into the lead, I predict that he will be "hung out to dry", with no friends behind.

I disagree 3TOES. I think Jr. still has people that trust him on the track. Should be a good race with the new plates and bump drafting allowed.

Other than the "class act" Mark Martin, someone please enlighten me with 3 drivers who would be willing to hook up with jr and push him into victory lane.....By the way, I just heard that jr is openning a new bar, it is called "Victory Lane", cause that is the only way he can get into it.

what about a bar called "Pitstall"? nevermind, that would be a bad idea. he would probably get lost on the way there

Jr will have plenty of drafting help, drivers know they can do well with Jr, so come on... let's be realistic on what we say.

If that is the case, then why was jr "The Worse" in the last 10 percent races last year according to NASCAR. Remember Pocono...Every driver out there knows that when push comes to shove late in a race, jr backs off. I do think jr will fair well in the Shootout and the 125's, and possibly early in the 500, but the last part of the race when the race is on the line, jr will start to dwindle, just as he did last year....old habits are hard to break and a couple of months won't make that much difference.

when I said drafting, I meant Daytona, Dega... We'll just have to see what happens late in the other races to determine if the other drivers can count on Jr for help in those races. I'm hoping that we will all see better racing this year from the #88 team.

I bet the first thing that falls out of his mouth (when he screws up) is an excuse.

I know excuse nation will rise up with more.

Funny thing is, the more they make, the more pathetic there excuses become.

Jr. was out of excuses back around 2005.

I'm a fan but dang it is getting hard to pull for somebody who is not giving 100%. He seemed mad in the media day interview I saw last night on SPEED.

He needs to get serious about racing. That means working out and being in shape so when the final laps come your endurance has allowed you to be in position to win. Much less time needs to be devoted to video games, chasing women, hanging out with that bunch of leeches he calls friends, opening up bars, etc.

Jr, your stepmom was right. Do you want to be a race car driver or a movie star? How does it feel to be the most overrated athlete in the world? You can drive Jr. I've seen you do it. You've got 18 victories in the cup not including Bud Shootouts and All Star races. You've got two Busch series championships. You've got the tools, the genes, the team, the owner, the fan support, the money, etc. If you don't want it that bad, then do us fans a favor and retire.

yup, Hendrick made the mistake of giving him that big contract instead of making him earn it and now he could careless what his performace is on the track
