BUT, Tony is a very talented driver, as he has proven many times over in various types of race cars, sorry, but jr is no where near the caliber of driver in NASCAR or out that Tony is. As far as his off track episodes, as stated on this site many times over about jr, "it is his own business".

Oh you obviously forget the double standards rule where Jr is concerned.
He's kinda got that 5 second rule going for him.
Have you ever noticed that Jr has never attempted to compete elsewhere against his peers even for charity events?
I guess he ain't so dumb that he doesn't want to be embarrassed by local drivers at local tracks

The kid is still nascar's most popular driver regardless of his stats.
First, he's not a kid and second, why is it that Jr. fans always bring up "most popular"? I guess that's because it's the only thing you can boast about (not that it means anything).

I do agree that he is driving for the best of the best.

So what you are saying is; you agree he has the best and still can't perform (you do realize you just admitted he sucks).

If your not happy with his performance take it up with Mr. Rick Hendrick
Why would anyone speak with RH, he knows he has winners in his camp, Jr. is simply a money maker and he has you to thank for it.
walkabout wrote:
just advise your favorite driver(s) to give him more space on the track . Then maybe juuuuust maybe he wont wreck them.
So it's the other drivers who aren't giving Jr. enough "space" that's why Jr. is wrecking them.

I have to hand it to you, the "space" excuse is a new one (extremely lame, but new).

In no way do I think that Jr. sucks. I'm sorry your one of those people who does not understand the game. Dude don't hate the player hate the game. Jr. plays it very well and thats how life is. When your the MOST popular driver you've got the upper hand. If you learn to except that fact you will probably be a little less angry or jealous. Peace and Love Dale Jr.

Joonyer plays the game as a failure. HMS 1st,2nd,3rd in points and dead beat 24th.

You might want to get a dictionary. You are't using the correct words in proper context. Look up 'your' and 'except'. Maybe you and joonyer can take a communications class and he can learn to communicate to his crew chief what the car is doing so he can make an educated guess as to what adjustments to make.

Let it go, he didn't cheat and the race was 8 years ago.

I'm curious, what do you think about the pioneers of this sport? They all cheated and readily admitted it. Pushing the limits on their car to be better than anyone else. Do you hate them and find them NOT cool in your eyes????

Big, I know I said I would let the 01 400 go; but there is a new guy who was talking trash on here.

To answer your question, those pioneers may have "tweaked" the rules but the entire 2001 Pepsi 400 was scripted and staged. I guess that is what I have the issues with.

You STILL can't let that go? Damn, you're thick!

Whatever 'new guy' was talking crap, the point was Junior's cool. Unless anybody can say they've walked a mile in his shoes, they can't say otherwise. So you say a whole race is staged and then you blame it on Jr because he crossed the line first? Okay, and explain to me again how he became the director for this movie? Because what you seem to be suggesting with putting the blame on him, is that he grabbed a bullhorn and said, "Gather around, all 43 teams, officials, and everyone else - this is what I want to have happen..."

I don't believe any one driver has that kind of pull and that said - they cant be the one to take the heat for it. I suggest you figure out who exactly has that power and blame THEM.

Who's talking about a 43 team conspiracy? They just bolted a larger restrictor plate in the Jr mobile and nobody had the power to race with his car that day. All the other drivers knew Jr had a "special" car, look at the video, it's obvious.

I wouldn't be fool enough to take that literally but come on - that's way out there even for an exageration.

I would have to watch the race and consider if it looks crazy cuzz its not the first time I've seen a car HARD to catch in a plate race, even solo. You just have to set your car up to fly like the wind.
