Richard never let his star status change him,he was always just the guy who considered himself lucky to make a living at racing,which was a family business, and enjoy it also.

Richard Petty is a true Southern Gentleman. Back in the 1970's, there were two people who could draw the largest crowds in the Southland...Richard Petty and Elvis Presley! We should be thankful that Richard is still in the building.
