Why did Larry McReynolds badger Kyle Petty at the beginning of the race?

My cable was out for the first 37 laps, what did he say? I like Kyle in the booth, thought he was way better then DW, and much easier on the ear!

Probably because he and the rest of the idiots like Herman, Jimmie, and DW realize the moment Kyle announces his retirement, one of them is out of a job.

The honchos at TNT should step up and take credit for the slip of the tongue language from Kyle this past Sunday. Some idiot in the sound truck left Kyle's in-car mike hot and caught him saying the "f" word a split second after Matt Kenseth dive bombed the side of his car. Then the dummies replayed the clip from the in-car camera and didn't bleep out the bad word. If I was Kyle I would tell them to call a press conference and take the blame or I would bet back in my car.

TNT should not take all the blame. One of the main rules of broadcasting is, if you are mic'd up, you watch your language. You don't leave stuff up to the audio guy or place blame on anyone in the production truck for not being able to catch your mistakes. Don't get me wrong. I believe the production side should be blamed just as much, because firstly, it is their job to put a good (and clean) product on the air. And secondly, I think it aired from a replay if I'm not mistaken. I was complaining about the crash when it happened. So yes, it is TNT's fault. But Kyle Petty is not a rookie broadcaster. If they are going to try to let him do analysis from the 45, then he should still consider himself in a broadcasting situation.
Meaning his mic could be open at any time. He should have the mentality as if he was still in the booth. I know this is hard to do while being a competitive racer. But, He decided along with TNT to do it. Everyone involved is to blame. for the record, I love Kyle Petty, but he's not in a position to ask TNT to take all the blame. My 2 cents. For what it's worth. Mark

Kyle Petty was no good as a driver and it followed him into the broadcasting booth. He sucks! He is an idiots that never know the fact's on which he talking about.

Most of Richards Petty wins was on an 3/8 mile dirt oval tracks. Running against 3 or sometime 4 local drivers with far more inferior cars. Although nascar sanction the races. They were inferior races by nascar because, nascar had sanction the tracks

I'd rather listen to Kyle Busch run his mouth than Kyle "What have you done for me lately" Petty. KP can't hold DW's jock!!! Just my opinion...
